Was wondering if anybody can answer my question? Can you use teething gel and Ashtons powders at the same time?
My son is 3months old and teething and its worst at night when he wants to settle to go to sleep.
Im asking because, I used the powder for the first time this afternoon and it seemed to work. So used it again when I put him down tonight and it isnt working, so was wondering if I could use the teething gel too?

Any help ASAP much appreciated as I can tell its really hurting him.

The powder isn't a drug so I don't see why not? We always did.

THe powder is from the plant matricaria and the teething gel is a local anaesthetic so they work in completely different ways. We always use both together and have never had a problem.

Yep, we've used both together too, but also struggled at night when we put him down to bed, but think this has something to do with them laying on their back as I believe this can make the teething pain a bit worse, (I think that I've read that somewhere)!!

Good luck
Jayne

I use them and Dentinox at the same time, works wonders! The Ashtons is all herbal, nothing in it contains paracetomol or anything, so don't worry :)

we use anbesol which is the liquid form of anaesthetic what's in the teething gels. we found that the gel slides off and never ends up where they need it, whereas the anbesol goes exactly where you put it! My best mate is a dentist and she says its the best thing to use, as it's strong and goes right where they need it :) we used both powder and gel at first though

tbh i wouldnt because i would imagine the powder would stick to the gel and be quite yukky

Yep i use both together and a frozen teether, she is loads better when all 3 work at the same time.

That makes complete sense as he doesn't feel it too much in the dat but when we put him down at night it seems to affect him the most :(

Where can you get this from? Can you just pick it up at local chemist? Never heard of it, might give it a try sometime....its definitely something to keep in mind anyway!
