OK Girlies and experts!

My LO is definitely teething and i have a few questions for those of you that have been through it before.
1. Increased poo - we've gone from pooping once a day to after every feed and during the night - is this normal?
2. Nappy rash - probably related to the increased poo - am using bepanthen which seems to be doing the trick - apart from lots of nappy free time is there anything else I can do
3. Red bumps on gums but he's sometimes reluctant to chew on anything - any tricks that have worked for you ?

Hope you can help
Tired, exhausted Rach

Sounds like lil toothy pegs coming in for sure !

Max got some runny poos and went allot more when the teeth were close to coming out ..the rash comes with it

as for the red bumps Lo might get very cranky so have some teething stuff close by ..xx

Yep, that's all normal for teething. I found Ashton & Parson's teething powders very good for teething. You buy them in a little box. You have to open the little bits of paper up and the powder is inside there. Ryan loves them, opens his mouth for them now - you just tip it in. They also help with everything else to do with teething, including the horrible poos!

Thanks girlies - I just got some of those ashtons and parsons powders today. Going to try them tonight before bed - dentinox works but he just licks it off his gums and is screaming again 10 mins later!
Hope these bliddy teeth come through soon - we all need a good nights sleep!

Throughout the day you can give him teethers (the ones that you cool in the ice box work well with Hannah). Not sure how old your LO is but if he is weaned Hannah always does better with cooler foods when she's teething (applesauce etc.)

He's too little for the teethers - most of them don't fit in his mouth and the ones that do - I have to sit there and hold them for him! I've just started him on some baby porridge so we haven't quite got as far as applesauce. Am giving him cool bottles which seems to be helping. Thanks for all the advice so far!

It all sounds normal....since he can't have teethers what we did that worked was a teething necklace. They don't chew on it, just wear it. I know it sounds kind of crazy and I really didn't think it would work when I tried but it does, the thing is awesome. We got it right around 10mo for my youngest and at that time he had 4 teeth and with each one he was sooooo fussy, especially the nigh before, and would refuse to eat solids. Then we got this and within I think it was about a month, maybe closer to 2, he had gotten in his first 4 molars and 4 other teeth...they came in so fast, with absolutely no fussing, eating fine, sleeping fine. Then about 2mo ago my hubby was cleaning him up and took it off to clean it off and forgot to put it back on and the next day he was so fussy, getting in one of his eye teeth, and we finally figured out he didn't have it on, put it back on and he got that one in and the other 3 with no signs of it at all. It's amazing lol. If your interested you can look up more info on

that all sounds pretty familiar to me, lilly also got cold like symptoms when she was teething

I have ordered an amber teething necklace - hopefully it will arrive soon. The Ashtons and Parsons powders certainly seem to be helping with the frequent poo problem !!
Thanks girls xx
