Hi everybody,
Quick life story: My wife is trans. Between us, we have 4 kids (2 hers, 1 mine, 1 ours, all "ours") but want to try for just one more. We tried 2 cycles of non-medicated IUI using frozen sperm samples (hers from pre-surgery) without success. We have enough left for one more try, so my dr has agreed to do an injectable FSH cycle - I've been ovulating just fine on my own but we only have 1 shot left so we're trying to improve my chances as much as we can (not saving any for IVF as we've agreed the physical/financial/emotional cost is too high).
SO. To the questions! I've read the literature my dr provided, but it's largely aimed at women who don't ovulate on their own/have PCOS. Since I don't have PCOS and ovulate spontaneously, I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with this treatment who I could relate to? Particularly, I'm concerned about the part of the literature that indicated I could be taking these injections for upwards of three weeks before I have a mature follicle.
I really hope that's not usual! Anyone go through this?
