Just wandering if anyone has told friends/family you are ttc? My mum knows, as does my best friend, but that's all at the moment. I think everyone is expecting us to be as we got married just over 4 months ago, so I don't think it'll come as a shock when we conceive and tell people.

A few of my friends know and both my Dh mom and my mom know, as well as my best friends mom. My Dh would've told the world if I had let him, he was so excited when we started ttc.

We've told quite a few people. Mainly my friends and work. But DH's told a couple friends as well as his parents. However, when we concieve, we are telling one of his siblings, his parents, my parents, and my brother. That's it until the end of my 1st trimester. Probably an extra of his siblings, due to the fact that I work with one brother's wife.

Glad we aren't the only ones to have told people. Was starting to think I shouldn't have told them, but I'm glad my mum knows so if we do take a while to conceive she'll try her best to keep me upbeat!

We will tell my parents & his parents first, followed by our siblings and two of our best friends. I imagine we'll keep it quiet then until 12 week scan!

We'll tell our parents and siblings and my best friend when we conceive, and save the rest till the end of the first trimester I think

I have told only a few people. Most of them also knew when we were wtt.

My sister- suffers with infertility and just got her bfp late Christmas night. She us who I talk to the most.

A couple friend of ours. They were ntnp while we were waiting and they just had their twins born today.

My boss, who I've known for almost half my life and is like a secondary mom. - this one I didn't plan but we were chatting last night and it came out.

That's it.

There are a few more who know we've talked about it and it's sometime in the future. The only person I plan on telling other than DH is my sister when we get our bfp. The rest including my mom will wait until the first trimester is over (if I can keep my big day mouth shut. I'm terrible at lying so if they notice something if off, they will probably know from my reaction)

Crazy atlas have you been ttc for long?

Wow Mrs Gj well done if you do manage to keep it quiet, I'm struggling at the thought of not calling my mum as soon as I get my BFP!! Lol. I'd love to tell her face to face so plan a trip home the weekend after we find out, but I dunno if I'll be able to contain my excitement!! Lol. We are so close she knows everything and she's the first to know everything about us too! I know come feb she'll be asking if AF has shown up and if I do get my BFP im hoping I'll be able to say 'yeah she's here unfortunately' until the weekend we see her lol but not likely to happen with me!!

Not long, just three cycles. My cycles are pretty long so that is since September. I'm probably going to test Monday, so anxious! Really hope this is my month!

How long have you been ttc?

Fx for you crazycatlady! (Now that I've actually learned what that means) :)

Oh gl crazycatlady will be thinking of you!!

This is our first month but it's dragging already and only on cd10 lol I just wanna get to my next expected AF date! Lol. I have no patience whatsoever!!

I know! I felt impatient just waiting to ovulate this month! My last cycle was 48 days so I get super impatient since it's so long to wait!

Mrs. Gj what about you? How long have you been ttc and what cycle day are you on?

Mummykp when do you expect to ovulate?

The waiting is horrible isn't it! Couldn't imagine 48 day cycles, bless you!

Should ovulate on Friday according to my apps as I don't track, but I imagine we'll aim to be every other day for at least the next 10 days, maybe longer. I'm keeping an eye on pains ATM and if I notice any EWCM I'll take note too! Cd10 today so the every other day starts from today!!

I'm on my first cycle ttc. I'm currently on CD 16- 3DPO and 13 more to go before AF is due. Such a long time to wait. :(

When did you guys come off bcp?

Yeah I just use my app too. This month I could feel ovulation, couldn't in the cycles before that so I wonder if I wasn't ovulating right away off bcp.

My afs not due till next weekend but today have this odd pain in lower back and abdomen...

I've been off bcp for aaaaages....between 2-3 years. We've used condoms since I come off it. So my body has had plenty of time to adjust but I didn't really think about O until we got married in September as that's when my baby fever kicked in. I don't know if I even O!! Did you have pinching/pains crazycatlady?! The pains could be a good sign! What CD are you on?

When I oed I had pain in left side and mild feelings like af was coming.

This morning I feel nauseaus and crampy, the crampiness is like intense feeling like af is coming but with added nauseaus feeling. I'm on cd 34, hard to really go by that since my cycles are so long :s. I think I oed around the ninth. So possibly this feeling is implantation?? Fx!!

That's so good that you went off bcp early, you won't have to deal with confusion of are these pregnancy symptoms, bcp symptoms or af symptoms ! That's how my first cycle off was!

I've been off BC for a long time. We use the pull out method for preventing. What cycle are you on, crazycatlady? And how long have you been off bc?

It may well be IB crazycatlady, fx for you!! Thanks for your O signs, it's always good to know what others' feel so I can look out for it too! I had some cramping on my left side in November but didn't think much of it, just joked that it was O to DH in a light hearted way as we weren't ttc then. I will certainly be keeping an eye out this month, as well as the BD'ing!! Keep us posted please crazycatlady, so exciting!!

I'm glad someone asked this question, I wondered myself if people generally shared with others that they were ttc.
My husband and I decided that it was between us and therefore we did not tell anyone. We have been ttc for 1 year now and I am happy I did not tell anyone because its no added pressure about people feeling like they have to ask how its going or watch what they say around us since it hasn't happened yet, etc.
It is hard though because sometimes you want some one else to talk to.
So I understand both sides.

Yeah that's why I haven't told a lot of people, but even with those I've told I'm getting a bit frustrated and we haven't even been ttc for that long.

We're on our third cycle ttc, but my cycles are long so since September. And that's when I went off bcp so it was totally fresh in my system, so I'm not surprised it hasn't happened yet.
