Hi ladies
I wonder if any of you could give some advice - my mum is a nurse and I normally direct all my health concerns to her, but I can't get hold of her today - arghh!
Alex had his MMR 10 days ago and has been fine until now. He's been developing a cold over the past few days, but then so have I - lots of bugs going around here just now.
Today though, he felt very warm to the touch (especially one ear which was red hot) and I've measured his temp several times in both ears this afternoon at 39.5 - eek. I've given him calpol and stripped him down to his vest. I'm trying to get him to drink plenty of water. Normally he'd be playing at this time of the day, but I've sat him in front of the telly watching Ballamory so he doesn't make himself any warmer.
Is there anything else I could/should do? I don't see any rash anywhere. I'll keep checking his temp but what should I do if it gets any higher? He doesn't seem distressed at all, just a bit quieter/sleepier than usual. Oh god I hate it when he gets unwell
Thanks in advance.
