Temping & charting I don't know how!

I'm not happy with my cbfm, it worked the first time and I reached a peak cd 13 and 14. The two cycles after that it has only registered high.
I found a thermometer I had forgotten all about, it's a Braun digital.
Will it do?
I've not got instructions anymore.
Do I insert into my ear, mouth or armpit? What do you do?
Im not going to do it rectally or vaginally, but I know some do which is fine.
What is the usual body temperature and how much does it go up when ovulation has happened?
I know nothing and google has me confused.
Please help guys

Have you tried Fertilityfriend.com? This is my first month of temping and that site has been great. They give you a course and a VIP membership for free for 30 days just for signing up to their free site.

I use fertility friend as well it makes things so much easier. You are best to temp in your mouth if you don't want to do in vaginally. Make sure you temp at the same time each day a few minuets either way makes loads of difference. Thanks ladies for your replies. I don't think my thermometer is a basal one now that I've looked into it, so I think about getting one and using ff
