Testing 4th July... Anyone else?

First cycle NTNP. Due AF 4th July.

Possible pregnancy symptoms? (or wishful thinking!):

I have had dull period like pains in the front & an achy lower back over the last week, felt like AF was coming but no show, way too early anyway, so possible ovulation pains? Never experienced cramping mid-cycle before.

Yesterday i developed awful hip pain in both sides (where my leg meets my groin iykwim, in that little crease, is that even a pregnancy symptom?!)

Back ache has eased off today but still have slight cramps & hips are SO sore!

New to this & want to say hi! Anyone else due to test a similiar time to me & want to wait it out & share symptoms?

This is my 13/14th cycle ttc #3 I'll be testing on the 4th although till only be 10dpo And it'll be my birthday so hoping for a extra present :)

Yay! That would be the best birthday present ever! We are NTNP my 2nd, & OHs 2nd, but it will be our 1st together. Fingers crossed! Keep posted with any possible symptoms etc x
 
Aw ww that's cool, have you had any symptoms Hun? I know I'm only 2dpo but since ov I've had the worst stomach and back cramps I've had to take two days off work :(

Only the symptoms in my original post above... My hips are killing... Is that even a symptom??!!

Youve had to take time off? Gosh hope you feel better soon & its a good sign!

I have posted a thread on TTC, ive never tried to concieve before, & im so confused. I see you have an ovulation chart... How does that even work?? My periods are so irreguar & i have no idea how this all works? :( So naive!
 
I guess it could be a symptom, my hips ached with my daughter.

I'll be 23 next week Hun don't worry :) with my ovulation chart I use fertility friend, it's pretty simple I think on the website it gives you a little tutorial as to how you use it. I couldn't live without it. My cycles are irregular too ranging from 28-35 day cycles.

I also temp which is using a thermometer and taking my temp same time every morning the second I wake up which helps detect ovulation along with opks!

Whats OPKS?? I have a little cheap digital thermometer... Would that do? Under the armpit? & what sort of temps would i expect to see or look out for? Sorry for all the questions!

Opks is just a abbreviation for ovulation predictor kit or ovulation test, and with the thermometer it's probably better to use a basal thermometer it give a better temperature reading than a plain old one and there's only 2 ways of taking it accurately first one is from the mouth asking as you don't sleep with mouth wide open :) and second is vaginally (most accurate) it's better to start temping when you start a new cycle so after AF has finished then start taking temp every morning the same time before you get up have a drink etc! Then record your temp on the ovulation chart, along with cm if your going to check that.

Throughout your cycle your temp will change, when it comes to ovulation day your temperature will dip then the following 2-3 days there should be quiet a obvious temperature rise which will confirm ovulation.

Thanks for all your valuable advice.

Assuming im not already pregnant :( ive looked on Ebay at ovulation kits, how much would you expect to pay? They vary so much in cost i cant work out what a good price is. Any recommendations? Thanks!
 
It's ok Hun if you've got any questions I don't mind answering them if I can.

I just use the cheap ones off eBay that look like a little stick my last lot I think I paid £3-£4 for 20 or 30, they all the the same thing just some are more expensive than other like the clear blue digis that range from£18+ it just depends on what you'd feel happy to spend and use :)

Thanks sammy, but it's soooo hard! I feel like I've been trying for so long and still no BFP :(
 
I know how you feel Hun, Ive been ttc for over a year now, been to see the doctor and they're starting to look into things, I didn't have a problem before ds was conceived within 6 months and dd was conceived on the pill but this time so far no luck :(

Ive just bought these exact ones! Thanks for the link. How easy are they to use?
 
This is my 1st month & im finding the TWW agonising! Its all i flipping think about! So i can imagine after a while its a little disheartening when you dont get that BFP. We will all get there though, stay positive!
 
The opks are so easy to use dip them for 10seconds and the wait up until 10mins for the result most have instructions with them.

With the tww I try not to think too much about it or I think I'd literally obsess about everything it's always when I get to about 9dpo I start thinking about it more and more even tho I tell myself every month not too :)

My hips arent so achy but have strong period like cramps & back ache. So much so that every time i go to the toilet im convinced im going to have come on?!

How are you feeling today?
