testing fsh

well a little while ago i had my fsh tested at cd 20 somthing and it was 9
i only found this out cos i work in a hospital and i looked them up
well now im worried ivf wnt even work

should it have been tested so late in my cycle?

I don't know that the value is indicative of anything on cd20. I would definitely insist on having your fsh tested on cd3 like it's suppose to. They also have fsh tests at the drugstore but they won't tell you a number, only good or not so good results. How old are you? Generally speaking the younger you are the better the number is and vice versa. I'm 29 and my fsh was on the higher side of normal, I can't remember the exact number at the moment.

It's possible to have higher levels of fsh at ur age but very unlikely. I would definitely get retested on cd3. I believe they can take it on cd2 as well, cd3 is just preferred.
