That twin feeling! Progesterone levels

Hya,

I am new to this part of the forum after having made my way through TTC and LTTTC!
I finally got my first ever on Wednesday!!!:happy dance:
Nothing happened for so long (not even a positive OPK) so I am still in shock!!

My progesterone was at 88 on day 21! Which I know is incredibly high! I know it does not necessarily mean more than one egg but I also heard that a lot of twin pregnancy (not all though) come with those sort of numbers!

I am also really surprised how dark my HPT was!!! I have had this feeling since we tried TTC and knew clomid would prob be our only hope that we would have twins....

Anyone had similar progesterone level and a twin or single pregnancy??

my progesterone levels have gone up as high as 1005. but normally are between the high 700 and the high 800s.

they have dropped to 212 yesterday in one week which i am worried, as its a massive dropped but my scans have been all fine.

anyways wanted to share my progesterone levels as i am having twins. i am taking progesterone support.

Thank you! And congrats to you too I think i secretly fancy having twins, I am just surprised as the normal range for people without progesterone suppl. at day 21 is no more than 86 and usually people are more around the 20 mark as it's still so soon.
Here is a pic of my from 2 days ago (right) and yesterday (left), I am only 2 days late, they seem so dark

I am not sure yet, my gynea is very relaxed and i kind of like that. I am seeing her on the 3rd of November (by then I will be 6 weeks) I guess she might send me for a scan a few weeks later?
I can't wait for the scan, in the meantime I keep POAS as it's the only tangible thing I have

Mine looked like that and I didn't even feel pregnant (they look like the same test as well lol) - still only feel a little bit pregnant now lol.

I don't know about the twin thing as I have no levels or scans to go from - still have 3-4 weeks to wait til my scan - don't even have a date yet! - but I know that a lot of people who take clomid get multiples as the body is shocked into releasing more than 1 egg.

Congratulations on your BFP. I've put my test on the bottom - this was at cd17(ish) which was about 2 days late, at 11pm at night!

Yes I was sure I was just PMS, so far no nausea!
Yes I know Clomid can do that so I guess that's why I am thinking so much about the possibility of twins.
Unfortunately clomid also increases the risk of early miscarriage but let's not think about this My tests are getting darker everyday so hopefully this is a sticky one!!

Your tests look beautiful!!! I am very happy for you!! I hope you have a H&H 9 months!! And twins are for sure a possibility!! Only time will tell! I would have bloods drawn a few times, to get an idea of your numbers. GL!!

Congrats! I was on clomid as well. 50 mgs paired with metformin. I had my progesterone levels checked on day 23 and they were 144. Apparently these numbers don't always mean twins, but in our case we found out on Monday (8 week scan) that we were expecting twins. Needless to say it is still sinking in. While we knew it was a possibility we never thought it would happen to us. The doctor said it has been years since she saw a twin pregnancy with someone who was only on 50 mgs of clomid. The babies looked healthy, but were measuring 7w 3d. However, I suppose that is to be expected with two growing in there.

Going to meet my obgyn on Monday. My fertility specialist was very quick to pass me on to a maternal fetal health specialist because it's twins conceived on clomid and I have high blood pressure. Needless to say, I'm happy with that and trying to stay positive!

Congratulations! Ive investigated the dark test thing as my lines were very dark like yours and I was in a right panic about the possibility of having twins but been told that the darker your line is on your test has nothing to do with twins at all. Music to my ears! xx

I went for my scan yesterday and im having TWINS I had a dream earlier in the week that there were 2 and I just had a feeling yesterday morning. I lost all symptoms at 10 and a half weeks and felt so upset thinking when I had the scan there would be nothing there xxx

Hi honey, I don't think your level suggests twins- sorry. That doesn't mean to say you won't have them. However, I'm on a fertility program and they want optimum progesterone levels at day 21 (or Peak +7). The range they specify is 60-100 and that's UK levels. Aso in many cases implantation won't have taken place at day 21 so the progesterone levels won't really indicate much other than a good strong ovulation- and your looks great!

Thank you all, I think we just had a feeling the minute that we took Clomid that this could be a possibility. At least we are ready mentally Whatever we get I will be VERY happy.... well.... if possible, one or two but NO MORE (just haven't got the space!)
I was also on 50mg so I guess this is very unlikely!

I can't wait for my appt (3rd of Nov) and to find out when I will be having my scan!!
Still feeling pretty normal apart from the cramping. Went to the gym today and even though i didn't go all out at killing myself, I did quite a bit more than I expected and feeling great for it.
