...is there such thing?

Obviously when breastfeeding there is a right way for baby to 'latch on' to reduce the amount of air taken in. But I just wondered is there a certain way they should 'latch' onto the bottle also? To reduce air take in?

i dont think so but it helps if the teat (nipple) is filled with milk other wise more air gets into baby but other than that i dont think theres a right or wrong way to latch onto a bottle..be interested to see if there is though

Erm, I don't know if there is officially a right way to do it but there is definitely a right way for my LO to. He has to have his mouth wide open and his bottom lip out rather than tucked against the bottle iykwim? x

Not that I know of . . . I had the TT closer to nature bottles and they had teat sizes 0 - 3 which affected the airflow but other than that I didn't really use a technique for her to latch on :flower:

Yeah i do know what you mean, i think the same which is why i asked, cause my LO has only just figured out how to get his whole mouth round the bottle so his bottom lip isnt tucked under :dohh:, and he seems to be MUCH better when he has had his mouth nice and open and lips turned out around it

Just shove it in and away you go! The only 'technique' would be in keeping milk in the teat so LO isn't sucking in air.
