No I just made it up as I went along.

I started with 2 shapes like this (see pic) 1 a bit shorter than the other. I cut out a piece of outside fabric, lining fabric and interfacing in each shape. Ironed the interfacing onto the outside fabric. Sewed the 2 outside pieces together around the sides and bottom. Sewed the lining pieces together along both sides. Pinched the bottom corners and sew across them to form the flat bottom.

Turned the outside fabric right side out. Put it inside the sewn together lining fabric. Sewed along the tops to attached the outside fabric and lining fabric. The turned it all inside out. Sewed up the hole at the bottom of the lining. Ironed and added a button.

Hope that made some sense.:haha:

I love the taggy blanket!

My sewing machine has gone kapputt so I'm sticking to small things at the moment that require minimal sewing but I might copy you and do dome blankets when I'm up and running again!

I made a tag blanket for my friend tonight. she previously had one but got lost so I have altered a new one and added a ribbon with a dummy clip so It can be attahced to clothing or something else so its secure x

I'm planning to do taggy bedding for my son....I saw it online and loved it bt defo didnt love the price of it.

I know they are so expensive thats why i like to experiment and try and see if i can make them. I love the giraffe anna x

The bedding should be too hard...the pillow case is similar to the ones I already made just bigger and the quiltcover is the same. :)

Thanks hun...I love it too.

hi,its 38 inches by 38 inches,i did a chain of 23 and 2 chains for turning.each square is about 6 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches and finished with a border.

Ive finished my first blanket  Its 35by30ish. Iv started a new one thats 45inchs wide and going to go to about 35inches long. Il post pics when its done might take another 2 weeks though!:haha:

Just sharing the recent taggie, dummy clip, bandana bib set I made for those of you who aren't on my Bumble Bib page on Facebook :)
It was a special gift for a friend who is going to give it to her new baby grandson when he's born. The mommy loves Beatrix Potter so I sourced the fabric specially. The taggy ribbons are 'It's a Boy, white with lace edge and blue polkadot and it's backed with bumpy cream super soft minky. I'm so pleased with it.
