"I think a lot of it comes down to the simple fact that in most cases it isn't necessary to chew in public. Lots of people manage to starve themselves when they're out, so why can't the rest? I have no problem with the women are are discreet about chewing, but unfortunately there are a few that seem to think that its acceptable to chew their food in a restaurant and other inappropriate places. Then they wonder why people quite rightly complain about it."
