The late second tri thread :)

Hi late tri ladies! Can I join you please?!

I'm feeling the same as a lot of you, I should move to 3rd tri forum
soon but when I've peeked over there it's all chat about the labour etc which seems far away for us at the mo!!

I'm feeling good most of the time currently. Like some of you have said I do get breathless and dizzy at times plus just that can't get comfortable feeling.. All in all pretty good though!

Xxxx

Wow, I didn't know there were so many of us!! Glad to "meet" all of you!

I am torn between thinking that this pregnancy has flown by and thinking that time is going sooooo slow and it's going to be just forever until I meet my baby!

I'm starting to get more physically uncomfortable, especially at night. And yes, I am waddling now... lol.

Also having really dry, cracked nipples which I never experienced with my first pregnancy! And I have a 4.5 year old, so it's def not from breastfeeding any current babes - haha

I have a anterior placenta and only feel a few kicks a day. Some days he's more active than others. Should I be worried?

I have anterior placenta too, but depending if it is higher or lower on the uterus may impact when you feel baby's kicks. I think that if you can count 10 movements per 10 minutes at least twice a day, things are normal.

I was worried this AM when :yellow: wasn't kicking at all like usual but they can tire themselves out for a bit when they are growing

Thank you ladies, you put my mind at ease. This lil guy can be a gymnast one day and I guess get all pooped out the next!

Can I join? Feel like I'm too early for third tri but don't relate to many threads anymore :haha:

Youll be suprised the difference 2 weeks make, i have an anterior low lying placenta, i get kicks ALL the time now, feel hiccups, and kicked in the bladder :)

Hi ladies! I was wondering if I could join as well? The end of the first and second trimesters have been a bit awkward fitting in. lol

I feel movement everyday, but like a lot of you said how active she is varies day to day. I feel her mostly in the evening and before bed.

I have felt pretty good for all of my pregnancy. I was actually worried in the beginning because I thought I should feel way worse. Now I am really enjoying it. lol

Feeling movement can be such a blessing, but a curse at the same time, isn't it? It's hard not to worry over every detail.

I've really started to pick up a pattern with the kicks... Baby seems to be sleeping or otherwise just chill during the majority of the late morning/afternoon. I feel her a lot at night right before bed, when I wake up at night to pee, and early in the morning. Maybe I'm just busier during the day and so not paying as much attention to it.

Question about kicks - do you think they can help you identify baby's position? At my 20 week anatomy scan, they said baby was head down, but I only feel movement at the center left and center right side of my stomach, which makes me think she's transverse/sideways now! Am I imagining it or do you think it's possible??

I took myself into hospital last night for reduced movement for my usually very wriggly and kicky baby and the nurse only used a Doppler and she said she thought my daughter was head down and curled up based on where her heartbeat was. They wriggle about all over the place so I'd say it was possible? Xxx

Couldn't agree more, mine has moved right out of the way and I can feel a bunch of kicks!

I also am so out of breath that I sound like I have smoked all my life or has asthma really bad!

Kicks alone I can't really tell which position they're in. But, I can feel them moving around in there and can somewhat palpate the head. Just the other night I felt baby creep its head into the lower corner of my womb. I can usually feel where the head is at if I feel them moving in the first place

That's so cool! I'm not quite that perceptive, lol

Hi ladies :)! So I feel I need to join as heading for 26 weeks within days and can't quite relate to anything in early second tri or in third tri! That being said, babies nursery is 98% finished and we have everything bought for him! But I'm starting to feel like I've been pregnant forever now but then at the same time feeling like I've got forever to go...I promised myself I'd take this pregnancy slow well as slow as possible haha! And enjoy it but I just can't I just want him here already! And knowing this is my last baby I thought I'd be more connected to the pregnancy as I craved being pregnant so bad after my son. I found out when I was 1-2 weeks pregnant so I think that has something to do with it! I was admitted to hospital last week for possible blood clots in my lungs! Was so so scary but been given the all clear I'm feeling huge and as an asthmatic and baby squishing my lungs and being full of cold I'm feeling poo! what week do we head over to third tri I can't remember? xxx

Beautiful- I believe it's 27 weeks we head over or are considered 3rd tri. Hope you feel better! :)

I finally had one of those lovely leg cramps some of you ladies have been talking about. I don't remember them in my first pregnancy. This morning I woke up at 3 with one and had to get up and walk around for a minute to get rid of it. I guess I need more water or something.

Thank you flowergirl7! :) hope you are feeling good too, seems impossible I'll be in third tri very soon eeeek! xx

Oh hi, this is me; Miss Impatient, crashing your party ;) 6 weeks and change until 3rd tri, and I definitely feel more at home in limbo land than the rest of 2nd tri and have definitely started to curb my 1st tri curiosity to a minimum helping hand at this point LOL! I think it's easier to transition when it's not your first rodeo.

To the question about movement: Yes. Every day, multiple times a day and have started feeling baby from the outside as well if I'm quiet and patient. This one is a feral and seems to freeze and run silent the moment they realize you're onto them, where my son was a total performer -- then again my placenta is posterior now and I'm feeling so much more so much earlier. I think that could make all the difference in the world, so in 3 weeks, I'm sure I'll be singing a much different tune LOL

I know that a couple of you have posted and commented with me concerning back pain and breathlessness and leg cramps... Well... Last night was sheer Hell waking up at 3:30am with a savage BUTT cramp. My entire left buttock was seized up and refused to release or relax for the rest of the night unless I rolled and slept on my back in my "hammock" of pillows again. So not cool. This morning it's still locked up a bit. Fooey.

Hello ladies! I'll join the club if that's OK :) one week until 3rd trimester for me and I can hardly believe it!! I took a peak in the 3rd tri board and can't relate to much so this is a great Idea for a thread!

As for leg cramps, I still swear by taking magnesium. It has helped me so so much!

Other than feeling exhausted, I'm feeling pretty good. So so hungry all the time now though which makes it difficult to keep eating healthy. Even eating higher protein isn't keeping me full at all. I crave carbs so badly but it's what I'm supposed to be cutting back on.. The struggle is real :haha:

Hope everyone is doing well!!

I can remember a couple vicious hip/thigh cramps last time around, but (so far) I've only had one foot cramp.

I am experiencing that super annoying wakefulness in the middle of the night. Last night I was awake from 4:30 am to 7:00 am trying to fall back asleep so I'd be rested to chase a toddler this morning and go to work this afternoon/evening. Bah humbug.

Love feeling movement from inside and outside both! Although outside movements are sporadic at best! Glad everyone seems to be doing well! Great idea for a thread!

I'm also loving the movements. Anyone have leg cramps and the soreness continues for a few days in the leg. It's happening to me and now I walk with a small limp because of the pain:(

Beautiful- hope you feel better!! So scary!! I have my nursery almost done as well but nothing bought yet. Can't wait to shop!!

Leg cramps have been happening quit a bit lately as well on this end! Doctor told me today that at 24 weeks, ever 2 hrs you should feel movement. Seems like everytime I eat she is moving around so that's a plus for me!!

ALSO, SOME EXCITING NEWS I HEARD TODAY FROM MY DOCTOR!! THEY'RE PUTTING IN A BIRTHING TUB UP AT MY HOSPITAL AND IT SHOULD BE DONE NEXT MONTH!!! I AM SO EXCITED AS I DID NOT WANT ANOTHER EPIDURAL!!
