So, I want to knit this little jacket and blanket for a friends LOL, due in October. Cute isn't it?? Can't knit yet though, so will be a learning curve but better to practice on someone elses I think - beware, all bumps before me will most likely be receiving badly knitted practice gifts LOL.

Anyway, opinions needed!! She is having a little girl, so do I leave the pom-pom bits on the sleeves, hood and edge of the blanket white, or do them in baby pink?

good luck with the knitting - defo learning curve lol. TBH i think i would go for white - mainly because they sometimes get the gender wrong - if it comes out a boy then they will never be able to use it and that would be such a shame after the effort that you are putting in.

White it is then... it looks so nice in white anyway, I guess there is also no gtee that it would look as good with pink bits as it does in the piccy!

My friend didn't find out until she was 9weeks gone, had no sickness whatsoever, is getting a rather large bump (a boy sign) but the toliet shot said girl! 50/50 is not much of a chance as far as guessing goes is it?? When you have your 12 week scan and have a bump DJ, I'll get my OH to place a bet - he manages to get it right for people he knows, let's see if he can guess a bump outside his normal circle! x x

I have 2 girls and wasn't sick with either of them. I also had massive bumps with both of them too. I guess the old wives tales are totally wrong for me lol
