Morning everyone - how amazing is Danielles news?? A LLGP how cuuuute!

I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps today Santander emailed me today with the outcome of my interview - a big fat NO. But of course, they don't offer feedback so I don't know why the no. So I've still got no job lined up, and I finish this course if 6 weeks, so time is running out. No idea what I'm going to do, just know I need to do something because otherwise we will not be having a baby!!! Come September my graduate loan becomes repayable, at £300 a month, so really need to be earning. I refuse to go back into fastfood, as I shouldn't have to after spending £40,000 on an education. Anyone have any ideas what I could do?? x x

Haha yeah, 117 pages of filth is a lot to wade through!

I studied law, and the legal practice course. But no law firms in the area are taking on for a few years. I wanted to get something that would still give me some relevant experience so I don't waste my time, do that for a year, and then take a year out with baby number 1 in time for the next round of legal recruitment. Seemed like a really good plan at first - just struggling to put it into action! x

Sorry about job leah- its crap isn't it. I have a job for 3/4 days a week but I really need something else as well. I don't want to be pregnant where I am atm, standing up all day and I've been there since I was 18 so I'd feel so weird being pregnant when they knew me before, no idea whatsoever of my broodiness etc. Have u looked at any other graduate schemes?

This trip to china is getting so complicated. Matts on the phone to the guy right now but its looking like there's no work for me over there so I'd have to just go over for a couple of weeks to see him. Plus, they won't fund him coming back for graduationg! Ahhh

I can't seem to find any other grad schemes recruiting this year apart from Matalan, who have said no as I don't have retail experience in clothes, only in food. I would have thought the management skills I had learnt at McD's were pretty transferable, but apparently not.

Mush, I thought about that, but there is a disclaimer at the bottom of the email they me, basically saying that requests for feedback will be ignored lol. I think it's terrible that that's considered general practice! x

I am still in shock! Can't believe it. Yes I have been in the obs ladies office lol. I will get some perks of the job I think let alone keeping an eye on me constantly! The class pet comment made me I think due date will be 28th Jan! But I think Feb baby.

Amy, not the legal side of things, as law firms recruit about 2 years in advance. I have been trying to get a law job for 3 years now with no success despite my first! Competition is just unbelievable. I found out a little while ago that I have a maybe from a firm in Coventry, who will be taking on one trainee this year, if and only if, the partner in that department retires due to illness. So that's a big, big maybe!

Aaaah Mush I shall check that rather massive company now, see if I can find anything. Just applied for a few on jobseekers, but mainly long shots. I'd like to go into mortgages, and there was one looking for a mortgage advisor, but I'm not cemap qualified, so I basically begged them to put me through the training as I'm soooo marvelous

I'm sure something will pop up - it's just the stress of not knowing whether I will be able to make rent come July! OH says he will cover it if needs be, but feels unfair on him x x

Haha I just wish I understood it more only general vacancies that are coming up at the mo are in Northern Island... we're happy to relocate, but not THAT far lol.

And I guess you'd need to be a fully qualified solicitor rather than a trainee to make it into their legal dept. Ho-hum pigs bum.
