Hey hoo guys!

No worries Jo, Im crap with dates, so dont worry!

His bday was Friday. Had a little party Friday and the main party yesterday. Was a bit manic but i got through it with the aid of wine!

Finn is pretty much off bottles now. He has no real attachment to them, so i thought id stop using them before he creates one. We have 3 360 cups. They are brilliant. 2 for milk and one for juice. They are just like a cup that they can sip out of all the way round. It has a seal so they have to suck to get drink out, but no spout or anything. I think they are genius! lemme find a pic!

Hes a bit crap with most sippy cups. Tends to suck to much out then spit it out. Never had that trouble with these. They are pretty leak free too. Only spill when he chucks it on the floor. You get a little spray from it when it hits the floor, but doesnt continue to leak even if left upside down.

he is also dead on the 50th for his height and head

Also guess what I have dicided when im 30 im gonna go and do a nursing degree to go on and be a midwife

Oooh, that sounds exciting Eliese! Id never have the patience to be a midwife, lol. Id be like "Just pipe down and get on with it luv!" Are you going to go to uni/college or are you going to do it from home? Not sure if thats something you could even do from home :s.

I think i ought to go up to the weigh and play tomorrow and ask them about Finns 1 year check. I still havent heard from them. At 11 months Finn was just over 24lb, but havent had him measured since he was about 8 weeks. He has come down from the 97th percentile to the 91st. Think he will probably go down a little bit more as he never stays still.

Megans not really dependent on them but she has one just before she goes to bed! do you give finn something else just before bed to make sure hes full??
Its all quite confusing! im worried if i dont give her a bottle just before bed she will be waking up all night!

I dont think i could be a midwife either! good on you for going for it though eliese!

I got them from Tescos Jess. They have come down to £3.90 each, which is better than the £6 they were not long ago.

He still has milk in the morning and before bed. He just has them out of his cup rather than a bottle. He stopped laying down having a bottle quite a while ago. He would just wander round the house with it. He just does the same with his cup now. Hes on cows milk 99pct of the time too. I just give him formula if hes not really eaten well that day. Been doing that since he was about 11 months. He never even batted an eye lid when i gave him cows milk, lol. Mind you, theres not much he wont eat/drink!

Ive got one! although she hasnt got a clue what to do with it lol!

I was planning on putting her on that 1 year milk. not sure though! its so confusing! im gonna have to go and see the health visitor or something. i want to make sure im doing right by her!

What i did to teach finn how to use the cup, was slide my finger under the seal on one side and let the juice pour into finns mouth. Didnt take many times for him to figure it out.

Ive still got some second stage milk which has almost run out. Ill buy 1 year+ milk after that, but im only gonna use it when hes not eaten well that day or if im low on cows milk and forgot to go to the shop, lol.

From what i can figure, the 1y+ milk is a bit of a con, and not needed if your baby has a balanced diet. So if hes eaten well, i wont bother. Sam survived on cows milk, Im sure finn will, lol.

Ty for the happy birthday! Its been generally dull, lol. Havent even opened my one present. Gonna save it for tomorrow when sams home from his trip.

Think i need a new tricker! Its still stuck at 1 year!

Had the electrician round today and hes finally found the fault it was the dodgy wiring from the new shower they had insalled! They said they wernt getting any shocks when they lived here! Lying b******s (sorry for the swearing but if megan would have took some of the bolts i got from stuff she may not have been here) proper angry about it!

Would i be able to sue the electrician that installed it?? I feel like ripping his head off!!

Ive just found out that i have been given the honour (not) of taking my mums dog to be put down ive grown up with this dog so gonna be a bit upsetting but its best for her as shes been diagnoised with tongue cancer and she bleeding from the mouth and alsorts.
Got to take her monday.

On a plus note did i tell you my electrics are fixed! Lol

I finally got round to finishing my sock monkey yesterday, lol. Saw them on facebook and nearly bought one a couple of weeks ago. Decided i was going to make one instead. Yes, i know...Im sad, lol! Im even tempted to upload her piccy, lol. Oh im so sad, lol!

Glad you got the electrics sorted Jess. Bloody scary when you dont know whats gonna give out shocks next, especially with Megan about. Hows your house coming along now? Have you got all the old owners crap sorted now. He seemed like a right knob!
