OMG YEEEEEEEEY I actually feel like happy crying for you xxx well done and please still post here, I do because I still feel like a learner x

I will always keep posting here to help others learning and to see how we are all getting to grips with being new drivers. :)
Still can't believe I finally did it lol.

I PASSED!!! :D :happydance:

I got 4 Minors. It was one of those tests where I couldn't really tell what the outcome would be. Was proper shaking when we got back to the test centre and was sure I was going to hear those horrible words again but then when he said "I'm pleased to tell you......" I literally squealed!

Yaaaaaay! I'm finally a member of the pink licence club and it feels fantastic. I was shaking so much when he told me I could barely sign the health declaration sheet lol!

Thanks so much for all your support ladies, you've been fantastic. xxxxxxxxx :hugs:

OMG!! Congratulations!!! :hugs: Bet your well chuffed :) You desrve it well done!! :happydance:

Congratulations lulabug! :)
Hoping to make the same announcement this time next week.
Had my first day of my intensive course, first time I been in a car in over a year and it went pretty good! Instructor was happy anyway, or at least relieved that I can at least get the car going considering he only has a week with me lol.
My lesson was 3.5hrs and I found it sooo much better, it took me about a hour to get confident and then I started doing quite well.
My main problems were roundabouts, I was approaching them too fast and then getting flustered, but I got much better near the end. The test route has about a million roundabouts so I have to nail them this week. Eek.
My other problem was on roads where cars are parked on either side and panicking with oncoming traffic coming into my lane etc, again I was going too fast so not leaving enough time to make a decision and scaring the other drivers lol, but I got a bit better at that near the end too :)
Turn in the road was covered and I have no problems with that! Tomorrow is parrallel parking though :(
Only other probs were I did clip a parked cars wing mirror (oops!) and I had to do an emergency stop because some stupid woman pulled out in front of me and scared me half to death.
All in all though he said that he thinks I'll be ready by Monday for my test so cross fingers! I really hope so x

Thanks Kiki and Kate!! :hugs:

Candeur, thanks so much. Sounds like you're making great progress so far. Slowing down in good time was one of my main problems too and believe me, start slowing down just a little bit earlier, it really does make such a difference to your driving. You don't get into such a panic. So tomorrow, try slowing down about 2 seconds before you normally would and when you follow the Mirror, Signal, Maneuver, you'll find that you'll have plenty of time to do things and it'll go much smoother!

I think I'm going to frame my certificate lol!

I want to frame mine too!! :haha: I couldnt stop looking at it and still cant stop myself sneaking a peak at it  So found out today that to get insured on a less than 1.0 engine size would cost £1700 for the year :dohh: So i wont be able to afford that any time soon, instead I will be just going on Alans insurance, i seariously cant believe how expensive it is! So decided I will save for a car now, then when i get a job will get a car so i can afford insurance  uhc! how expensive is everything!! x

Woke up this morning wondering if it had been a dream, checked my folder and sure enough my pass certificate was in there. Beaming from ear to ear! :D Still hasn't sunk in yet

lol I am still under 25 and the only driver on my car thats prob why.

I dont care though as I was spendig 250 a mth before on taxis lol and then another 160 on lessons :D

I could kill my best friend, I really could.

Apparently, I rely on people too much. My aunt because she paid for 4 of my 5 tests and Ethan's grandad because he'd made a promise to Ethan's dad that he'd give the money for a new car and let him work off the debt clearing his landlords warehouse, but has now backtracked.

First off, my Aunt offered each time I failed to keep paying for my test. She was desperate for me to pass and was in a position to help where I'd probably still be stuck waiting to pay for possibly my 2nd attempt. She helped me out big time and my dad helped out with paying for the use of the car on the day.

Ethan's grandad has now backtracked on what he had agreed, so now we have no car, Ethan's dad has to return his friends car back to him at the weekend, he's going to be staying there for a few days so I'm now stuck with no car while he is away which means I'm going to be stuck indoor's. I don't exactly live in a bustling City.
Apparently I'm out of order for relying on people too much, well I'm sorry that my Aunt offered to help me without me asking and I'm sorry that Ethan's dad was going to work to pay off the debt owed to his dad to make sure it wasn't classed as a freebie, but actually earned!

I swear, she's so judgmental it pisses me off. I think the problem is she doesn't have family that would go so far as to help her, but then she's always had a problem with accepting help anyway, she seems to think it's beneath her.

If I hadn't have accepted the help from my Aunt, I'd still be a Learner! Now I've passed, I can show how much I appreciate the help by getting a job and keeping my licence and being responsible.

FFS!! :growlmad: Sorry for rant!

It's not nice of your friend to say that :/ It's not like you take it for granted <3 I get annoyed sometimes when college girls have their cars, insurance, mot, tax, phone bills, petrol etc paid for them while i'm struggling to pay for things then they have the cheek to say i should have plenty coz i get funding...funding covers my food, clothes, and now insurance :@ Then they complain about me getting more money!! I NEED IT mummy and daddy dont pay for everything for me!! sorry thats my rant haha x i mean one girl had her car bought for her at 16, you cant even learn till your 17!!!!! xx
