The Ultimate "Driving Test" Thread!

Well my test is march 1st and I have a mock test on Friday coming - I'm pooping myself lol. My neighbour passed his test not long ago and he said its easy but he actually failed his mock test My left reverse is hideous and going by that I just don't see how I'm even test ready but my instructor does. I do work better under pressure do I'm just kinda hoping on the day I somehow miraculously crack it lol x

Good luck!! But it is not easy haha, it's hard work, well it was for me! I was not a natural driver, good driver now, but i hated lessons so tests were difficult for me

Good luck!! But it is not easy haha, it's hard work, well it was for me! I was not a natural driver, good driver now, but i hated lessons so tests were difficult for me

Thanks hun, no I'm not a natural driver either. I really panic and get flustered. I forget my left and right during manoeuvres I'm not a lateral thinker at all lol. I truly will be amazed if I pass this tbh xx

Haha, yeah i get confused with left and right all the time!! and the first time i went on a lesson was the first time i saw the difference between auto and manual because my mum drives auto haha Just try think positively xx

My instructor was fab in the last few weeks and we did left hand reverse until the cows come home lol. Just practice practice practice! YOu will be fine.

I took 4 friends home last night- pressure or what lol especially as they were all pissed!

I drove in our car today Me, Chris and the kids. We went on a major duel carriageway too and on my driving lessons I normally poop myself on this road but today I actually felt pretty confident We have an automatic amd it is sooooo much easier. Chris was insisting I drive everywhere now, as my test is so close, but he was just acting like a right prat when i was actually in charge of the car. I got us out of a busy supermarket car park to, over three busy roundabouts and down a steep icy hill to our house. I did almost not stop at traffic lights though and ended up stopped in the cycle box thing

I had to stop on a 70mph road for an ambulance and the bloody car behind didnt even see the ambulance and was beeping at me, I know you can verge over but the road has lots of lorrys (we live near big esso refinery so you have to stop on that road not just slow down and pull over, its safer to slow down and stop if possible.

Just about to go on a two hour lesson and planning on kicking the arse of the left hand reverse good and proper!! Gonna postpone my mock test though cos I'm really not in the right frame of mind today.

I never did a mock either. One of my instructors mentioned doing one when I said I wanted to book my test but I got rid of him then cuz he was holding me back and never did one with my last instructor xxx

Hello ladies,

Hope you're all doing well. MrsB, how are you getting on with your lesson's? I hope things are getting much easier for you and that you'll sail through your test with flying colours.

I was talking to my dad and he said he'll try and get me sorted out with a car by the end of next month as he knows more about car's, which will make things so much easier with picking Ethan up for my time with him and dropping him back to his dad.

I've driven Ethan's nan's car to the end of the close a few times It's an automatic, it's weirdddddddddd, but I could manage an Auto I think if it came to it.

And sorry to hear about your recent break up lula We didnt do anything for valentines we had an argument because he lied about the price of our engagement ring (he thought i would care) and i didnt care i just cared he lied and i made a full out of myself at the jewelers because i was like "IT IS A DIAMOND, IT MUST HAVE BEEN SWITCHED OR SOMETHING WHEN IT GOT RESZIED AT ARGOS" .... phoned oh and he continued to insist it was diamond .... anyway went home and met OH who continued to say "they must have ripped me off" until i said he had to tell me the truth before i go further as we ciould get in trouble for wasting police time (complete bullshit but had to scare him into telling the truth ) ... so SAFE TO SAY I can never go to h smaual again It's so ridculous and embarrassing that its funny ...oh well a story to tell the grankids i guess

Hows everyones driving getting on?

I done over 2000miles now in my car lol, found my way to a place 30miles away without sat nav too. I have an automatic and its soooo much easier!

O/h has arranged for us to go away for the week in a few weeks with friends and it means me driving as he hasn't got insurance! It means about 2 hours of driving and mostly motorway! I reeeally don't feel up to it motorway scares the hell out of me - esp the M4!!!!!
