Thanks sweetie :) ..........I wrote a long reply and then my internet cut out so I had to restart my computer :dohh:

The guy took me on a route away from the city towards my little town so I knew the area really well. He spend the majority of time talking about his children, his holidays, my uni, my studies, the weather, and it really helped me to relax.

We done the manouvere within the first 10 minutes which was a 3 point turn (the easiest one for me, i'm a pro :smug:) so that put me at ease (despite thinking the dopey changing his mind cyclist had messed it up for me).

And then at the end he told me to drive forwards into a bay so I was going to and he said actually, just drive into disabled bay, so all I had to do was drive straight ahead because the bay was right in front of me :D

"I'm pleased -" "AHHHHHH!" :rofl: :happydance::happydance:

Still can't believe i've finally done it!

well mine was okay if im honest :) 1st time so i dont know any different, i spent ages crying before though lol! my instructor was amazing though bless him, i got a lovely woman for my examiner and we set off on a route i wasn't familiar with tbh but it was a nice one :) but my god traffic was horrendous!

she then took me down into this new housing estate and ask me to do the reverse around the corner (hate hate hate this one!) i was terrible if you ask me and she stopped me half way through and said drive on i was thinking then definitely failed lol! after that i eased up and had a good drive, stalled 3 times though haha we got back to the test centre and she took about 5 minutes to tell me i'd pass which wasnt amusing i burst into tears and ran and hugged my examiner :) passed with 8 minors :D xx

thanks girls for your support x

Oh my gosh, yes Mummy2one, I didn't even think to thank all of you ladies. How selfish of me

Many thanks to all of you for your support.....means a lot and its certainly helped me through!! :flow:

LOL Twilight, don't worry, it's not compulsary to thank us, I think we can understand that you're too excited to thank anyone, but that's not a bad thing. :) Still, it's fantastic that you've finally got there.

Same for you Mummy2one.

Sorry to hear about the poster who failed, I had the name in my head and now it's gone, eeekkk! I'll have a look again and reply to you. Chin up though hun, you'll get there in the end.

Eeekkk, so who's next? Mine is on the 2nd at 8:10am. I feel a bit more confident about it, more prepared but still a bit nervous. Scared I'm going to balls it up on something different. :(

Guess we'll have to see, I'll go through my manoevresetshfghkjfhgkdkjhg (can never spell it properly grrrr) on the day of the test again and hopefully as long as my speed is kept up, fingers crossed I'll pass.

Oh I watched this film last night called "Happy Go Lucky" and it was funny as hell. The woman was taking driving lessons and her driving instructor was some racist, anger infested guy who just seemed to be in the wrong profession lol! It was really funny though. Told my driving instructor to watch it.

My driving lesson was good yesterday.....wait....did I already waffle on about it yesterday? I can't remember now... I'll have to read back to see if I posted about my lesson. *sigh*

My favourite colour is pink and I really want my pink licence!! Hmph!

Expecting 09...I was aiming my condolences at not passing to you! Do try and keep going on the website to check for any closer available dates. Twas Twilight's advice that got me on the website and I managed to swap my 8th Sept date to 2nd Aug!

Fankoooooooooooo Twilight for that. :D xxx

I can never spell that bloody word either! Tis a pain in the backside :growlmad:

Your test is early in the day like mine was, i'd recommend getting up early. I was up at 4, gives your brain time to wake up :)

Pink my favourite colour too :headspin: i'm dying for my new license to come through the post, its gonna be pretty :haha:

I'm chuffed i've passed but i'm not actually getting a car until I graduate......which is 2 years away :dohh:

LulaBug you've not got long to go! How you feeling? Just over a week isn't it? :)

I was sat thinking last night, "my test is on the 2nd, the 2nd is a week on Tuesday, ....9..... days.... away"

You know when you're thinking something and it takes a few seconds for it to register properly? This was me last night lol! And when I did realise how close it is, my jaw dropped. It's gone so much faster this time round, maybe because I had less time to wait, but even when it got to a month before my test last time, it didn't go this fast.

I'm feeling OK, at the moment, my dads given me some St Johns Wort to take, he says they're good for anxiety or something like that.

I've got a 2 hour lesson on Thursday, going up to where my test is, so will have that little bit extra experience round there and then I've got 2 hours on the day of my test. :)

I'm feeling a bit more confident and relaxed but I'm still nervous as well.

Has your licence come through yet? :D xx

That sounds good :D

My hours before my test are never productive, I can't concentrate on anything, all I can think is TEST TEST TEST so I do everything wrong. So if everything goes belly up in the lesson, don't worry about it! :)

Nahhh its not come through yet. I'm dead excited though, it can take up to 3 weeks. Boooo! I want it now :brat:

Awww, I'm still so chuffed that you passed! :) You so deserved it.

Ethans dad has been going to his mates for a few days to help him out with some DIY and if I could drive, I could have had the car and done more stuff. Instead, I'm stuck at home and it's pants. Oh so boring and when the weather is undecisive, you just wish you had a car to jump into and go.

Hopefully I'll be able to celebrate next week. :D

congrats to everyone whos passed :)
i have my theory on thursday morning and im s*itting it (excuse my language) so ladies who have sat it how hard is it and any tips?

Good luck for Thursday Amie, It's not *too* hard.

It's all common sense really but, go through your highway code, or have a look online, www.dsa.gov.uk and you should be able to take two free mock tests. They wont be exactly the same as your actual theory, they might have different questions, so I wouldn't advise trying to memorise it but it can give you an insight into how it works and the kind of questions you'll have.

As for the Hazard Perception, think like you're driving, anytime you see a hazard or a potential hazard, click! It's as simple as that, don't over click otherwise you'll void that particular question, but just use your common sense.

I'm sure you'll be fine hun. :) xx Keep us posted

Thanks hunnie :flower:

I know right! I wish I had a car, its going to be another 2 years (when I finish uni) until i'm driving again. But still, least its all done.

You'll be bringing good news to this thread next week!!

congrats to everyone whos passed :)

Theory's not hard at all - as long as you've done your revising. I think you can get 6/7 questions wrong on the multiple choice questions. Most of them are common sense but some you can't guess. In particular, read up on your speed limits, the signs, and the legal documents. Its easy to panic and think you'll run out of time and hurry which is likely to make you make a mistake, breathe, keep your cool and read the questions carefully, if you misunderstand read it again (woah, how patronising do I sound?)

Also for the hazard perception part, don't click too soon or too late, it'll take points off you. Be aware that if you click too much even if you think its necessary, the computer may disqualify your points for that clip because it thinks your cheating (it did that with me even though it was unintentional).

Good luck!! :flow:
