Ah good luck to anyone taking their test!

I had my test on 10.01.12 and passed first time. My instructor told me I wasnt ready but I had a feeling he was after more money from me. Plus my theory expired on 12.01.12 so to make sure it wasnt wasted I wanted to at least attempt the test. I was taking 3 lessons per week as well so it was costing me a fortune!

I ended up passing with just 3 minor fault....and I am 9.5 months pregnant! So just to let you know it can be done under pressure, haha.

I'm really cacking myself about tomorrow now!
Test is at 2:42pm so it'll be hitting the time when all the kids come out of school. Lots of traffic the area that I'm doing the test in is absolutely full of narrow roads so I've really just got to remember to keep focused and looking ahead, and remember to make my decisions early.
Ill be so happy if I get turn in the road, I can nail that and even parrallel parking. If I get bay parking I know I'm screwed!! I can't do it at all in the test centre. The bays are all at an angle and really narrow, if it's empty I could have a slight chance but if there are others cars I'm screwed.
The arrow is where you come into the test centre, it is a nightmare!

Ahhh I'm being so negative, I know I can drive, my instructor said when I passed my last mock that he struggled to find anything bad about my driving i just hope I don't fall apart!

Good luck! the second I get home from placement I will check this Don't worry about narrow roads, just take them slow and if need be, take it in first The centre me and SIL took our test in is very narrow and my SIL mounted the kurb when leaving the centre - instructor thought she had failed- but she passed, they just put it down to steering malfunction because it was so narrow!

Oohh Candeur good luck for tomorrow hun!! If you get a bay park, remember to do a full lock as soon as the car starts to move and just take it slow, you can always straighten up and get yourself back in, so don't think that as soon as the car has turned in, that's it. You'll have a chance to pull forward and check and move back in properly.
Keep looking around you and try not to look too much into the wing mirror's, they'll want to see that you're looking around everywhere.

If in doubt about any turnings, go down into 1st gear, especially if the road looks really narrow. It gives you so much more control of the car.

I did lessons for nearly 18mths before I felt confident. I never ever thought I would pass my test and I did first time (trust me, I was so UN confident). My driving instructor was fab, I moved to him last april and passed my test in December. I know I wouldnt have passed if it was not for him as was on the verge of giving up. Stick with it x

Ohhh how exciting!!

My instructor is picking me up in 30mins and I literally cannot breathe I'm so nervous! Keep thinking I'm going to throw up too lol.
Thinking I might just hide under the duvet all day instead! Yep that sounds much better! Eeek.

I can't believe I'm about to say this but I PASSED!!!!
I'm sooooo happy and I'm still shaking.
Had 7 minors, 3 for observations at roundabouts, 2 for control and 2 for my maneuvure.
Had a parallel park and I thought id completely fluffed it up! First attempt I came too close to the curb, tried to straighten out but missed again so pulled out again completely to restart, second attempt I missed my marker so had to pull forward for the second time and third time lucky I got it perfect.

Independent driving was easy, I just had to follow the signs to the next town.

How soon after passing did you go in the car on your own?
OH wanted me to go to the shop earlier but I refused lol. Need him to be in the car with me and he drives a bloody huge Renault scenic thing lol.
