Soooooo... anyone watching?

Saw first ep last night. Pretty good start I think.

Have to admit, I saw what was coming with the Irish lady and the new boyf of Hershel's daughter (can't think of her name!)

Can't wait to see what happens after that cliffhanger!

It was ok. Not a brilliant episode but will be interesting to find out what will happen with the new guy with glasses....

And to find out what happens with the governor.

I really hope Michonne catches up with him! We need payback for Andrea, no matter how annoying she was :)

IM hoping it will get more exciting!!
im confused though.. Is daryl with the lady with short hair now (cant remember her name)?
wonder what significance the pig will be in later episodes lol

Love Walking Dead! I'm so excited for Sunday's episode!

Daryl and Carol (it rhymes hehe) have been flirting for a good long while now - it wasn't very clear in the first ep was it?

I think the pig was
a little sign as to what was coming with the guy with glasses collapsing at the end - I.e. has the virus mutated?

Ooh I didn't know it had started!! Thanks for this :)

Wasn't a great episode but excited for next week

It was a crucial episode so that we all knew exactly how the prison had coped during the break.
I think that,

The virus hasn't mutated, but merely, without a healthcare system, without antibiotics, doctors, nurses, hospitals, other viruses are coming back to the surface. TB, ebola etc. Personally i think one of these is what spread between animal/human and so the group face fresh challenges to keep them alive, death not just from walkers, but normal disease

Loving the new season but it seems to get more gory lol!

Yeah I wonder where this new threat will lead them. But then of it were all hunky dory then we wouldn't have another season :p

Yes I did wonder about the governor and what he's up to. But I think the group have more pressing concerns at the moment. I also think that we will need a tonne of tissues this season....it's already so sad :(

ok ladies, is walking dead really good, I have just finished watching Breaking bad, loved it.

Is walking dead about zombies, cause I am not into anything with zombies, vamparies, sci-fi

Thanks

Yes it has zombies but it looks more to the people and how they cope in a post apocalyptic world. They have bigger issues than the zombies like other people for example. So even if you don't like the zombie aspect, there's drama, angst, love, heartbreak etc. in fact, most of the time you just see zombies wandering in the background doing what they do (which isn't much aside from eating flesh)

Thanks i mite give it a go see what happens. I watched all of breaking bad in two & half weeks so was totally addicted.

So the most recent episode.

I was right when I guessed last week that other viruses are coming into play, in order to keep the show feasible this had to happen. It'll also show new sides to the current cast.

I do think that this season one of the main group will be lost. Personally one of Ricks family (him, Carl or Judith) or one of Hershals (him, Maggie, Beth or Glen) I think Carol is safe for now especially with the creepy kids and Darryl is literally the most popular guy in the show, I think he's safe for a while, I think the producers genuinely feel that if they lose Darryl some viewers will turn off.
Michonne has a big story ahead, she still needs to face down the Governor and I think we can gather she has lost a child (she did say the walkers she used to drag around deserved what they got? Maybe related to this)

I know that in the comics

Judith died with Lori, but what with Lori already gone I don't think this will happen. I also don't think they will kill of a baby. I think a comic can get away with more than a tv show, although I do think Judith is poorly. But I think she'll make it

Next episode has a sneak peak.

it looks like Tyresses sister gets sick and the sick cell block is increasing by the minute.

And finally

the poor piggies :(

This week's Clever Clogs medal goes to LHancock90 :haha:

This season seems to be a lot more gory than the preceding ones.

I just wonder where this season is going - the earlier ones seemed to lay out their cards pretty early as to where they were going. We've yet to establish that yet.

Michonne made me tear up a bit this week - nice to see a little bit of vulnerability from her character.

Any ideas who is
feeding the rats to the zombies yet? There was also the question of who did that to the two people who were infected with this new virus. OH seems to think it's the guy who caused all that kerfuffle in the store in the first episode by making the wine rack fall over? I have to admit, I have no clue!

I think the

creepy sisters are feeding the walkers, one of them at least either that or the Gov. Is hiding out somewhere in the prison. Not sure about the burnt people, initially i though oh shit did they do that to themselves? But then i realised nooo, so i'm going with Carl (in his desperation to protect the little family he has left) or the creepy new guy like you think :D

About that clever clogs medal, i shall wear it with pride :smug:

I have no idea who it could be. I keep wracking my brain and trying to think who would do that but I'm stumped!

Michones scene did break my heart a little bit.

Hi ladies. I got bored and ventured out of the TTC forums and found this thread. I love the Walking Dead as soon as I watched the first episode. My husband has read the comics, well most of them anyway.

Yes, it's very good. I was like you...skeptical at first. I'm not into zombies either. But there is a great plot and story line. It really keeps you watching. Start from season 1. I don't think you'll be disappointed. :flower:

Don't want to spoil anything for people not caught up yet so will put spoiler tags.

I also think either the 2 sisters who watched their father die or the army doctor is the one feeding the rats to the walkers, more likely the sisters though, at least one of them anyway.

I'm also thinking that Carol is covering for one of the sisters by saying she killed the 2 people, probably the one that's showing symptoms and is now in with the other sick people. Remember the younger girl told Carol that he sister isn't weak, she's just messed up? I think Carol worked out it was one of them and felt guilty (because of their dad and having to destroy his brain in front of them) and she's also protective as she lost her own daughter and these girls have now been put into her care by their dying father.

I think Hershel will get sick but Daryl and co. will get back just in time to save him and Glen.

I have to say that I kind've guessed that it was
Carol who killed and burned the bodies - we've seen a more harsh side to her of late. First she was teaching the kids how to defend themselves with the knives and stuff, but the decider for me was when she pushed that young girl into the sick ward. Then I thought, seeing your daughter turned into a zombie and then shot would seriously f*ck you up - why wouldn't it be Carol?

I'm enjoying the slower paced episodes so far - OH prefers to see the more action-packed ones!
