I am going to let them do everything for her, I'll just be there "just in case". To be honest though I know for a fact that she'll be hysterical from the word go. I know she sounds like a little madam but its not just crying, its proper screaming, sobbing/hyperventilating, whole body shaking, and really quite scary. I even tried finding out if babies can have panic attacks lol. She does it with my dad, he's taken her into another room away from me and kept her for half an hour and she never let up. (Sounds awful but its not like she doesn't know him!) Anyway when he brought her back she was in a right state and was sobbing for a whole hour afterwards!!! Then she gets full of trapped wind

I know she has to learn that I'm not gonna be there ALL the time but the way to do it is not to just leave her with a couple of strangers. He needs to get to know her and up to now he has made no effort whatsoever. So I don't care what they say, she needs to be more comfortable with him first.

I had an idea, can't decide whether its good or bad?? So what do u think? I want Lola to start swimming but I can't swim. FOB is a qualified lifeguard so I trust him to take her. What do u think of me being sat at the side while he's in the water with her? She loves splashing in the bath and I think she'd love swimming.....do u think that if she was having fun in the water she might forget she was with a "stranger"? Or do u think an unusual situation would make her even worse? :/ Was thinking it might build up her trust in him and also make him feel useful and thats he's playing some part in her life?!

Suzanne firstly bless little lola!! What a sweety pie
that to me sounds like a good idea, could you all not go together in the pool? I know you said you can't swim but how about just sitting in the baby pool with them where it's really shallow, so she still knows your there but can get used to him aswell? But if not just sitting at the side sounds like a good idea as she might be distracted by the fun in the water and it might ease the panic xx
