Ive not seen a thread with this but how are you lot?

Wind is so bad here, Im panicking about OH

I'm in cambs. It's windy, really windy but we are getting off lightly

My hubby was just on a flight from Aberdeen to Norwich and I was a little worried but he's fine

Poor folks that are getting flooded

The wind where I am is horrendous tonight I hate it so scary

Wind has recorded as 85mph here.

Had to chase the wheelie bin down drive before it hit the car & DH has gone out to the pub, the daft git.

At least we are not flooding like the poor buggars down south. My heart goes out to them.

I'm in the north west and the wind is awful here! Don't think I've ever seen it so bad. It's scary :(

I'm in the north west too, the winds awful! My friends friends house has half fallen down because of it! x

I'm in Ireland and it's quite bad here. My mam had been with me for a few hours, she decided to drive home before the wind got too bad. On the way her car broke down so she had to wait for breakdown assistance. Finally on the way home in the breakdown assistance truck they got near my mam's house and were stopped. A tree had fallen on top of a van, luckily the driver ducked down just as it fell. The Fire Brigade had to cut him out, took a few hours and he went to hospital with minor injuries.
My mam is convinced that someone was looking out for her and made her car breakdown, she would have been on that road around the time the accident happened.

That's a photo that was posted on the Garda warning site.

In north west here not far from Manchester. It's calmed down now but was very scary earlier.

My friend round the corner saw her garden table go flying across the garden! Another friend got locked into the soft play centre because the roof was coming off, the fire brigade had to come with hard hats and escort them all out.

The top off our brick bbq has come off tonight. We lost all the loose bits of our fence in the gales just before Christmas. We're the lucky ones though, have seen on local news that a car got crushed under a tree not far away and lorries overturned on the motorway etc.

My mum lives near Southampton and she said the road she lives on is literally like a river. Luckily she lives on a part of the road that doesn't really get flooded but the rest of the road is so deep you'd need a boat to get through. There's also a massive tree just outside my mums house which could cause a lot of damage if it comes the wrong way. A branch fell off the last time there were bad winds and it did damage to her car. Yet here it hasn't rained in weeks, stay safe everyone.

We live in Oxfordshire and the wind was awful yessterday. Dh is a landscaper and they had to leave site yesterday because branches were coming off trees and they decided it was unsafe to stay. I also saw on local news some flats that the roof had blown off. We live in the country side and we're quite high up yeaterday we had a terrible hail storm it was so bad the fields were white!! The rain was so bad at one point I couldn't even see the fiels behind our house. This morning it was snowing!! But we seem to have got off quite lighly compared to others (where I live at least). There are fb pics of places around Oxfordshire that are under water :(

I'm in Shropshire. I live in the middle of no where, lots of trees down, roads closed/blocked/flooded and we were without power from 4pm until around 2am - nightmare!

I'm in Cornwall and it's been pretty bad for weeks. Our coast lines are of course totally battered. The rail lines are destroyed. We were totally cut off from the rest of the UK by train as dawlish is going to take a while to fix and I think there was a landslide on the other line. Lots of trees down.

I live right by the Thames (can see it from my windows), thankfully the flooding has not reached here, yet, but it gets closer every day. Just ten minutes down the road is the flooding and twenty minutes to the flooding with danger to life. We are due more rain at 3pm and then heavy rain all day tomorrow. It is so scary.

I am taking spare blankets, clothes, food, games, colouring books etc to the local flood hit area tomorrow x

We live by chertsey (Surrey) and its horrendous :-(. We luckily live on a hill so are ok but have friends who's houses have been devastated by the floods are are currently homeless. It's truly awful and supposed to get worse here before it gets better

The wind was awful last night and we had a tornado warning. I was so scared as I hate wind and my husband was working nights :( It's been a bit gusty today, but nothing too bad thank goodness.

We are in Ireland down in cork, the winds were bad yesterday, some trees down, but a lot were passable and any that weren't they got to quickly, but we have been without power and water since 11am yesterday and the mobile network and internet only started working again at about 2pm today - thank god I work for a hotel with a back up generator!!

The wind here is horrendous but we've gotten off lightly compared to some areas.

Their was a tree down just down the road but thankfully no one was hurt!

No flooding up by me (I live on a mountain) but yesterday and the last few days were awful for gale force winds. Lorries tipping over, roofs blowing off, trees down etc. My garden fence looked like it was about to go but thankfully held on. It has brightened up a lot today we've just had a bit of wind, rain and hailstones.

Take care of yourself tasha, I hope the flooding doesn't reach you.

It's just been awful! Really feel for those who's homes have been ruined :-(

The wind was awful yesterday. Nearly blew me and lo over.
