My booking BP was 100/60
20 Weeks was 100/62

Friday (24 weeks) I was 116/62 and had trace of protein in urine and also had trace of urine in protein on Monday. I had urine (not 24 hr one just normal) sent off and will get results tomorrow.

I bought a home BP monitor and it has been ranging from 115/65 to 105/58

I know it should only go up by 25 (systolic) and 15 (diastolic) before they say pre eclampsia which would mean Ihave it if I get to 125/75.

I am 25 weeks now and today it was 108/59. I am just so so worried this is going up slowly but surely and my baby will be born really premmie :(

Your blood pressure will also change because you're worried! Please don't worry yourself unless you have to. It's better for you and bump if you're relaxed! :) hope your results came back okay, and remember there are other reasons for protein in your urine. Good luck hun, xx

(I had pre-e but gave birth at 38 weeks after being induced and had a normal delivery. Baby boy is now 7 months and healthy)

I did develop pre-eclampsia at about 32/34 wks (32 with high BP, 34 with protein) and had my LO at 36wks because it became dangerous (I was absolutely fine until the day before I had my emergency c-section (we had planned a c-section anyway)), so please do not worry too much! LO was 6lbs 11oz (estimated at 40wks at 9lbs) so they were happy to deliver early and he is a very happy, healthy little boy at 15 months. He was in NICU for 13 days, mostly because I was poorly, but he was/is fantastic.

Ultimately and the most important is that YOU are okay -- I was monitored almost daily from 32 weeks, but everything stayed the same for about 3-4wks until one day a headache just didn't shift and I felt 'wrong' and my ob-gyn was fantastic* and LO was delivered that day, so please don't worry -- just because you have protein in your urine and a moderately high BP doesn't mean immediate delivery -- you will be assessed on hopefully a daily or every other day basis and the doctors will try their best to get you as far as long as possible for delivery.

best wishes (pm me if you want)

ps. my pre-pregnancy BP was always very low, so really if you are over 140/90, then worry - so far, your BP is within normal range (and home monitors are not always reliable, particularly given the anxiety, etc. (been there, done that)). Also I never heard of the raised by 25/15 rule, so perhaps ask your GP/ob-gyn for specifics for yourself?

*blood tests also came back worrisome (e.g. about to have eclampsia) so not a question of persuading the doctor to have LO early, just asking to be admitted just in case I got sicker/worse, but the ob-gyn had better ideas - my OH freaked out with my calm telephone call of 'guess who's having a baby later today'!

hun dont worry, your bp is fine, I have trace protein nearly ever time I get tested, So many things can cause that, Even if you are cold or extreme temperatures! The more you check your bp the more it will worry you. I really dont think you have anything to worry about, I had pre eclampsia and I didnt even get a high bp, I was atypical meaning I didnt get any of the normal symptoms accept extreme protein levels, My midwife told me most people will get trace protein. Try not to worry and enjoy your pregnancy, I know it can be hard sometimes! As soon as we become parents we worry x

Try not to worry too much 'high BP' is classed as 140/90 before they will 'intervene' trace amounts if protein happen for a variety of reasons too Hun. Rest up it does make the difference this is my 3rd preg and longest I've gone due to pre-e ans so far symptom free xx

My bp was 148/88 this week and all they done was made me send in a midstream urine sample to be tested! My blood pressure always stays the same this is the only pregnancy it has gone up. Hope you don't get pre-eclampsia xx

Edit: forgot to add they found protein in my urine too :( x

A trace of protein isn't a significant amount and can be caused by discharge amongst other things. The BP has to be 140/90 on two separate occasions with a significant amount of protein (at least 300mg) from a 24 hour collection. It's normal for BP to fluctuate, yours is a nice healthy bp!
