Think I've outgrown this board :(

Well FYI I tried for 8 solid months 3 years ago. I gave up!!! Here I am back at it again. Technically you're not the only one in this thing TTC for the long haul. Your month is coming-don't give up. I'm still waiting on MY FIRST EVER BFP. Don't even know what it feels like to even be pregnant or see a BFP on a stick.

Hey there! I feel the same as you.... like there is no board I belong to anymore. I don't feel like I have been trying long enough to be in the LTTTC board, but everyone on this board has only been trying a few months it seems. Also most have regular cycles which I don't....so I hate hearing people complain about their TWW....when my TWW has turned into my three month wait.

Next month will be a year TTC #1 for me. I had normal cycles up until May when I had a chemical pregnancy. Since then I have only had one AF. Im currently on CD 104. I just got diagnosed with PCOS last week. Im currently doing the progesterone challenge and supposed to be scheduled to see an RE. Although Im glad things are being done I never thought it would be this hard to have a child.

I can relate to your post, similar age, similar time with your husband, similar time married. It took us 11 months to fall pregnant with our first. I'd been on the combined pill, then onto the mini about 12 months before that, nothing since then. It sucks to be young and infertile.

waiting2012 - 12 yrs?? Crazy. I'd have given up myself had it been that long. Lucky you had the older ones. Is the other child his?

I will add too, the posts with "could I be pregnant?", anyone ever want to answer them with "did you have sex recently? If so, then yes, you could be, so go wait till your period is due". I mean we cannot tell if you are or not....

Yep... The 18 yr old is mine from an aweful relationship-- then I met my dh when he was almost 5-- we had our daughter in 2000.. His daughter is our middle child.. makes me fustrated at times cause he'll comment the problem is not him because he got 2 women pg... ugh.. men... yes its hard but I'm ok--I have to be when there are so many trying to have baby #1.. I can't imagine how that feels.. : (

I know it's not as long as others, but to make it worse the doctors are all like "Well you got pregnant once, you've made a child (to DH) so there's a good chance it will happen again.
Yes, there's just as much chance that it wont at least not without intervention...

I have been told I have Polycystic ovaries, but not enough to say I have pcos, as there's a few only, and only on one side... it's crazy really.

I'm on a new diet now, low carb, high protein and meant to reduce insulin resistance which can affect fertility.
I am not old, nor am I over weight, I don't drink alcohol, nor do I smoke. Sucks to do all the right things, and still be unsuccessful. We've spent so much money on trying, buying tests, opks, books, food, supplements, specialist appointments, lost work time etc.

I'm on month 22 trying for our first.. so I def know your feeling.

Any reason for delay detected?
That's twice as long as it took us for number 1, I can't imagine the stress of 22 months and still nothing. We never stop worrying do we?

Me!!!!!! Meeeee!!!

I went off birth control in April of 2012 and NTNP until October of 2012 when we officially started trying. So...I've been trying for like a year, with no BFP in site. Then my cycles just stopped for like 4 months last fall just as we began trying, and I was dx with PCOS. I finally got my cycles going again with metformin and letrozole. I've had 3 failed IUI's and I'm about to under-go my fourth one on Monday. DH and I are starting the convos about when to stop the IUIs and move on to IVF, definitely a step I never imagined we'd have to resort to. I don't know how we will possibly pay for IVF without draining our savings... And that scares me, but not being a mommy scares me more.

I feel like a fossil here too. So many people 3 months in, no issues, bam...BFP. Wonderful for them, but that's not my experience, and it's hard feeling skipped over month after month. But, I don't feel quite ready to go to LTTC either. Lets be friends!!!

I don't ovulate on my own, and doc wouldn't give me clomid so we are just trying month after month. I did soy iso last month and I ovulated finally and we bd like rabbits lol and nothing.. I didn't do it again this month though because the side effects were awful. :dohh:

Thanks! I love Mickey and Minnie, DH grew up in Orlando so we def want a Disney related theme if/when we get to be blessed with a kiddo.

How can they diagnose you anovulatory and not prescribe clomid? I'd be trying a diff doc.

I know right?!?! I will go every day, just let me have a kid to really enjoy Disney with.. Gah! :growlmad:

My doc said it was my fault because I was 10 lbs heavier than he wanted me to be, guess what I lost the 10 and STILL had to take soy iso to ovulate. I have an appt with a new doc October 11th <3

Oh good luck! And seriously 10lb what a joke that's not gonna make a huge difference!!

Yeah I was really disappointed with him, hopefully this new doc doesn't let me down!

Glad you're able to see a new doctor.
I've had 2 cycles on clom but still no bfp.
Nothing this cycle as I had an HSG this month.

Hi,
I know how you feel it's been 26 months hundreds of sticks and countless over emotional out burst and we are still going!! Just started the tests at the doctors as in my post code you have to have been ttc for at least 2 years and then they might offer you clomid and if that fails and if your really lucky you may get one course of IVF but after that you are on your own unless you go private!!

So they only fund one IVF round? We get 2 funded, as we're under 35yrs old.

Free, but only if you get a set number of points on their scale, which can be hard to reach, and you go on a wait list, so for us 14 months from when we got accepted and 17 from when we first saw the specialist.

A round is completed when they do FET.
