I was asked a couple of months to walk a friends dog, which actually worked quite well, i'd drop Ewan off at school pick up my friends dog then pick up my own dog and take them both for a good hours walk, along with Robyn in the buggy.
I was getting paid, 7.50 per walk.
Unfortunatley the people have messed me about and keep changing their minds, and yesterday i saw someone else walking their dog. (wish they had been honest with me... little bit peeved)
But i was thinking about offering a service in my area, I'm a qualified veterinary nurse so i have one thing going for me, I wasnt going to limit it to just dog walking, i can offer a medicating service if people find it hard, pet checking for small animals, and dog walking on weekday mornings only. I'm not looking for loads of dogs just maybe one or two a week.
What do you think, would i need to get some insurance or join a dog walkers association?
Its something i could work round Robyn and Ewan too, as long as people dont mind me walking their dog with a baby in a buggy.
I can provide references too.
