Hi Minstrels,
first thing to do is go and see your G.P-You will have some bloods done to see if you are ovulating and to check your hormone levels, your other half will have to have his swimmers checked also,so a good idea for him to go to his G.P and ask for this to be done, additionally, you will probably need to have another procedure done to see if your tubes are open, and an ultrasound....almost forgot that one.

hi as said above go c ur gp...start takin folic acid, an get ur partner to start taking vit e an zinc+vit c (thats what we been told) if you smoke they will ask u to quit...but wen u go c ur gp, ask if you can c a fertility specilist to deal with you both...i had to go c a specilist 4 apps btwn march+nov they tested me an gav me u/s + blood tests, they asked my db to do 2 sperm anaylisis tests...both was low + after that they refered us to a male fertility specilist which now we r starting frm scratch with him, another 2 sa's. An u/s + bloods 4my db, but alot of ppl on here hav both just seen 1dr together which im guessin saves alot of time, waitin 4 appointments, referals, an twice the amount of tests...so both go to gp together, see both ur gp's if one isnt as helpful...good luck, x x
Thanks girls your advice has been really helpful, think we'll have a chat tomorrow and book appointments, we were trying to hold out as long as poss i think as didnt want believe we may need help, ive even given up symptom spotting now because im used to it not happening lol how negative! i just pray we will have a little un one day, good luck everyone! xxxx
you will dont worry, it is hard to stay positive...but just c it as u r 1step closer to ur goal...thats what keeps me goin. Its a long drawn out process, unfortunatly. But there are so many options available now, once u hav identified the problem, hopefully medical science will hav a solution. Good luck+keep us all posted, x x
Welcome to our spare room... the rent is very low but i'm afraid the room is only available for a few months so you'd better get looking to rent a room in 1st tri!
Good luck with the docs - NHS isn't the fasted moving place when it comes to testing but having those tests for both of you will at least make you feel a bit 'happier' in the way you can move forward. Good luck xx
