Sorry I just need to rant...

We've only just gotten over the three week growth spurt...
I have had massive over supply and let down issues ...green yucky nappies... etc... since and we had five days of bliss and boob drama free times!!!

Now for the last three or four days its been constant evening boob time...and waking every two hours again... Not happy unless on boob... Which would be fine but now the last 24 hours hes been on boob constantly and I can tell I'm going to have another oversupply drama...

Lo is screaming and pulling off boob coz obviously getting too much too fast for the entire feed on the right breast (the more dominant one) and is having fast let down on the other...

Even today all he wants to do is suckle... Finally falls asleep and as soon as I go to move him he wakes and wants more boob

The growth spurt isn't the problem... It's now the after affects...
Because I know now for two weeks I'm gonna have to work reli hard block feeding... Expressing and giving bottles instead of boob and using the pacifier more (which atm he wont take at all coz he wNts boob even if just to suckle) to stop comfort suckling or else were gonna be like this forever...

Sorry just needed to get it off my chest...

Any of u ladies wanna swap an under supplying boob with one of mine hahah
Solve both our problems haha


When will this end? Lo is seven weeks Tuesday ... How long does this growth spurt last ... Coz every day is making it worse!!!

For the side with fast let down you could try hand expressing until you get let down then popping him on. All I can suggest to help really sorry!

My twins have wanted to bf non stop for 16 weeks. As my mum says that's my job and to suck it up. it's not for forever and I know I will look back and miss this stage but I literally could feed all day every day!

It's not the feeding that's the problem unfortunately.... I'm happy to sit with a book and feed all day ... It's more that for two weeks I'm gonna have a miserable baby every time he feeds.

Is he having his six week spurt? I seem to remember daily cluster feeding around that time. I used to despise the evenings but told myself at least it wasn't at night! Try expressing a bit before you feed him!

Is it particularly hot where you are atm?

Its hotter then normal here and Fox is wanting milk constantly. Ive actually had to syringe 2.5ml of water in him to settle him on a few occasions.

I know what you mean about over supply, i have it all the time but one boob gets particularly bad if hes feeding alot.

It is exhausting although 16 weeks in I think I have developed a "fitness" for it!

my Little one is the same sometimes, stuck to the boob which gives me oversupply issues. Hang on in there and be patient, it won't be forever and we'll miss it once they're weaned so let's enjoy it while we can.

If you lean back whilst feeding it'll slow the flow a bit and might make it a bit easier for him to feed comfortably.
