This is going to sounds ridiculous but needed to ask

I never ask such silly questions but just feel a bit yuck about it. I hit my belly on the car door earlier, I was an idiot and walked into it. It hit me right in the middle of my belly, just under my belly button. Now i know right there is where the muscle plates separate and now i'm worried i might have done damage to one of the babies brains or something because i felt a few movements and tightening there afterwards. I know it sounds silly but i just feel like that section of the belly is quite sensitive and trust me to hit it. Now the movements are very very low under the bump.

Has something like this happened to anyone? Are your babies ok? xx

i dont know to be honest, do you have a bruise or a mark there, if you do then i would call hospital to be on safe side, if movement is reduced they will check this out and put your mind at rest, sorry i wasnt much help, but keep us updated and i am sure both your little ones are fine, it probably hit them on the bum or sumwhere soft! x

I would ring hospital for advise - or you willl worry. I am sure it will be fine but always good to check for your peace of mind. i am sure bubs will be fine.

Obviously, if you are that worried, ring your doctor/midwife...

babies are well cushioned in there hun, i had just got back from my 12 week scan and i had to go back up to the hospital staright away as the dog had got too excited and literally bounded on my belly he weighs about 3 stone aswell. but baby was well enough cushioned so you should be fine but yes if you are worried call your MW. hope everything is ok with babies x

I bump into stuff all the time as I forget the belly is hanging out there lol but I read that the sack around the babies has the durablity of a car tire which is pretty durable. I wouldn't worry but to put your mind at ease could always ring your doc

I agree with what others have said hun, your babies should be absolutely fine (congrats by the way, one of each how fab!!) however, if you feel at all unsure about it and have a niggling doubt then get it checked - again I will say, I doubt there's anything at all to worry about, but mommy's instinct is hardly wrong so do what you feel you must to put your mind at rest xx

Thanks everyone, actually helps to know others bump their bellies too and all is fine! I was so annoyed with myself! I called my midwife, she said not to worry unless I have any pains, i don't and have had no issues with it for the rest of the day. I didn't hit it very hard, it was just a bit of a shock and crapped myself when it happened. What a wally I am!

I bump my belly all of the time! I'm still getting used to is being there lol . Not mention, DS bumps my belly all of the time! Don't worry about it hun.

I accidentally hit my bump with the handlebars on my bike a few weeks back - it hurt but all is fine
