Hi. I'm new to forums but thought I'd give it a shot since none of my friends know what I'm going through (they all have kids). Husband and I have been TTC for 4 years in December. About 9 months ago I started using OPK and charted this for a while. Husband is 36 and I'll be 34 in April. Went to new OB/GYN 2 weeks ago, she suggested a few things. HSG test (does this hurt? Will I be able to go to work after?), Borage Oil, Mucinex and husband to take zinc and get another SA (last one was 2 years ago). As for the Mucinex- I get very high anxiety, shaking, restleness when taking these types of meds and I really don't want to try that...yet. So I was wondering if anyone has tried FertileCM? I ordered some and hope that it helps out in lieu of the Mucinex. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

Hey girl!

I had an HSG done as part of mine and DH's fertility testing a couple years ago, to me it wasn't at all painful so don't go reading all the forums where women FREAK OUT over it haha. The aftermath was simply a bit of cramping, just like period cramps, but not even as severe to me, I just took motrin and was totally fine :D

I also used mucinex to help with CM, however it didn't work great for me so I ended up buying Pre Seed, which is just a lubricant that acts like your CM does when it's fertile, so it helps transport the sperm to the egg, I used that when I conceived my DS :D

Let me know if you have anymore questions! GL :hugs2:

If an HSG has been suggested I'd go for it. I'm skipping that and going straight for a lap and dye. At least that way you can rule out your tubes being blocked if you have it. I would say get as much investigation as you can as it could show something simple that you wouldn't otherwise find out about and you may be able to do something about. x
