When did your LOs start getting hair? My third baby is sooo bald! Very adorable of course! He is 8 months and barely any hair at all. He has bright blue eyes, I'm wondering if he may be very blonde and that his hair is taking so long to appear because he's going to be fair?

Just thought it would be interesting to see what kind of hair toddlers have now who were very bald when little :)

ETA am really just hoping he's going to be blonde as my other gorgeous boys are brown eyed xx

My son is nearly 2 and has only just started to not look bald in photos. He was totally bald up until about 11mo and his hair is so slow to grow and fine.

Violet was born with dark hair that was wispy and not filled in on top. It eventually was replaced with blond hair that didn't really start coming in until she was about a year old. She had her first hair cut around 2 years old. Leo was born with light apricot hair. It fell out too and came in the same color. It isn't as red now, but it's long-ish on top and very fine and wispy all over. He's just about 22 months old.

None of mine have ever had much hair. My eldest had the least and hers really didnt get any length at all to it until after 3. They all have really slow growing hair, but its getting there slowly but surely. Dd1 is almost 6 and has only ever had two trims but her hair is lovely now. Dd2&3 still have wispy, very soft and fine hair that is just a nightmare to tame!

dd1 @ a year, 2.5 and now at almost 6 (with straightened hair)

dd2 at 1 month, 1year and now at almost 3.5 (again hair is straightened)

Holly was bald for ages. She started to get a bit of hair when she was about 2.5 years old but she was 3 before it got longer, and even now it's quite short compared to everyone else's in her class!

Mine was born with a nice covering of dark hair, which all fell out lol. Then she just had fine down, like dandelion fluff, for ages ... she was probably 1.5 before anything started to happen. One year later, it's still short and quite fine/fluffy, but she has very sweet curls and the difference between now and just 3 months ago is quite obvious, so I think it's growing quite quickly these days.

People in supermarkets have stopped referring to her as 'he' so that's good. :haha:

In the first photo, she is about 11 months old and hairless (stupid one of me, but it's the only old one I have on this phone lol), in the second she is 16 months and a bit hairier, and the third is from Christmas Day just gone. :)

Oh, and I was a bald baby with pathetic fuzz hair for ages and now, while it's still blonde and fine, it's very very long, so no long term effects from being an early slaphead here.

My 2nd had some hair at birth but it took aaaaaages to grow. Around 2.5 it started to grow but was still very whispy. Now her hair is starting to thicken up but is still thin and not very long. Her hair is very blonde, DS has dark blonde with a bit of red and DD2 is auburn and they both have much thicker and faster growing hair.
This is a pic of her at 11 months (spoilered because they're probably massive),

This is 2.5 when her hair started to grow more

And now at 3yrs 9months (blow dried, it normally looks shorter because it curls up)

This is my LO at 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, and now. As you can see most of the growth was between 2 & 3 years. She has very thick, curly hair which is why I've always thought it took so long to come in!

I was also bald until about 2 years old and my hair came in similar to my LO's - very thick and curly (and I still have extremely thick hair though I've lost some of the curl).

Wow ladies you all have some seriously cute children!! Looks like I'm in it for the long haul then and can expect his hair to grow in around 2!!

My first and second were both bald but had nice coverings by their first birthdays and definitely some by 8 months. Wonder what his hair is going to be like!

MrsMurphy as if Hannah is 2!!! I can't get over that. I mustn't have looked at the toddler wearing thread for aaaages!

Eleanor ace - Violet's hair is just perfect. Exactly how I would love a daughter of mine's hair to be (I can say that and not feel guilty as there isn't going to ever be a daughter :haha: )

Staralfur WOW your daughters hair is amazing! Totally gorgeous

My daughter was quite bald until 2 1/2. Then she started growing hair only at the back of her head. Now that's she's 6, you can't tell how long it took for her to grow hair. She's quite blonde and her hair is on the fine side. I thought she was going to be bald for the rest of her life.

Taken New Year's eve.

My dd is nearly 5 now , when she was born she had a bit of hair but by 5 months she had gone completely bald. A friend of the family saw her once (when she was bald) and said "she's going to be curly" and I thought how does she know that?! Anyway lo and behold her hair started growing back at about 7 months and by a year it was evident she was going to be curly. She had a head of very tight ringlets, it is still very curly now but because it is so long the weight pulls them out a bit. It is beautiful but such HARD WORK!!

DD was born with fine, dark hair but lost it all by 6 months. It then started growing back blonde and slowly. By 2 it just brushed her shoulders. 3/4 it really started to grow. She's 6 now and it touches her lower back. It's also turning light brunette. She adores her hair.

DS never went bald but had a bit of "old man hair". There was a patch in the very front that grew so slowly. He's almost 3 and it's still not as full as the rest of his hair.

Both my kids were probably around one when their hair started to grow in properly. Both really quite bald before that, by about 8 months enough hair that you could tell they actually had hair. My little girl's hair is still fairly short, but has grown enough that it has started to look a bit more girly :)

Sophie didn't really get any hair till she was 1, she looks rather hairy and normal now haha!

Emma is much fairer than either Thomas or Sophie and she's still pretty bald.
