Thoughts on Feliks/Felix

Currently TTC after a chemical and ectopic but it's not put me off looking at names! We always struggle with boys names as I don't want something that is overused but somehow, unlike girls names, unusual names don't seem to fit either.

I quite like the name Feliks/Felix but I'm not sure about it. It does kinda make me think of the cat food but I'm not sure that that's necessarily where others thoughts would go. Also, what do you think of the spelling? My maternal grandmother was Estonian so I'm swaying towards the Eastern European spelling but is that too weird for someone living in Scotland with Scottish parents?

I definitely think of the cat, but not in a bad way. I prefer Felix since it's already an "unusual" name, I'd at least use the more-known spelling.

Phoenix/Fenix is also a similar style name you might like?

There's been a thread on Felix very recently with lots of positive comments. I like it.
I really don't like the Feliks spelling though, sorry.

I agree with the other posters. Felix is cute, but I'd keep the traditional spelling.

The recent thread is from me! I LOVE this name and we are using it for our little one soon to arrive prefer spelling Felix. I bumped the recent post so you can read everyone's comments on the name
