Girl names:

Abigail (we both love it but its very popular, top 10 in our area)

Wren (I love it, OH is warming up to it. But someone made a reference to Ren and Stimpy and that's almost ruined it for me)

Vivien (Or spelled Vivian? We don't like Vivienne as it would change the pronunciation)

Evelyn (We both like it but not in love)

Charlotte (Same as Evelyn)

Hadley (Too trendy? Too harsh or masculine?)

Edit: Also wanna add..

Layne (Or Lane, Laine? Also possibly too masculine?)

Boy names:

Asher

or

Liam (We prefer Liam but it's a top 5 name and that makes us hesitant to use it)

Abigail cute

Wren dont like it, its not very feminine

Vivien very old fashioned

Evelyn personally dont like this

Charlotte ok

or

Abigail - It's okay. Personally not a fan
Wren - Definitely seems masculine to me
Vivien - Like it spelt Vivienne, I don't see how it changes pronunciation?
Evelyn - Very classy; ages well.
Charlotte - Not a fan, especially seeing as most people nn Charlie.
Hadley - Really like this, but it's so different from your other name choices - You seem to like older, classic names while Hadley is more trendy.

What about...Melissa, Caroline, Nicole, Margaret?

Asher - It's okay.
Liam - Ugh, for some reason I just really dislike this name

What about...William, Ashton, Lucas, Dayton?

Girl names:

Abigail - I LOVE the name Abby, but not a huge fan of Abigail. I had the name Abriella on my girl's list 6 years ago & would have used "Abby" as a nickname.

Wren - Not a fan

Vivien/Vivian/Vivienne - I think they are all pronounced the same??? I've always said them the same - I think Vivienne is a gorgeous spelling!

Evelyn - Prefer Avalyn or Eden or Eva

Charlotte - Seems so trendy & popular at the moment!

Hadley - Trendy? I've never heard of it - I think it could grow on me!

Layne/Laine - I love Alaina/Alayna with Lainey or Laina as a nickname (But to me Laine by itself would be better as a boy's name.)

Boy names:

Asher - I love this name!

or

Liam - I also love this name!! I'm shocked it's in the top!! I didn't believe you!! Just checked the US SSI Baby Name site and William was #5 and Liam was #6 in 2012. I don't know many ppl with this name at all!!! It must be a newly popular name!

I love Abigail, Charlotte and Evelyn from your list. Great names!

I'm also warming up to Wren; I think its an interesting name, I've just never heard it before. So if your OH is warming up to it then I hope you can incorporate it somehow.

My daughter's name is Vivienne and it is spelled the same as the other two ;)

A suggestion: Abigail Layne (very pretty <3 )

I think we want to use Wren as a middle name.

I also love the spelling Vivienne but everything I read online says this should be pronounced vivi-ENNE whereas Vivian would be VIV-ian

Its true to an extent - 'Vivi-ENNE' is the French variation of the spelling and pronunciation. I'm bilingual so I picked that name and spelling specifically for that reason. I say her name as 'vivian' in English, but 'vivienne' (putting the accent on the ENNE) in French.

Of all your names, I think Abigail sounds the prettiest with Wren, but so do Charlotte, Evelyn and Vivi(an/en/enne) ;) I wouldn't be put off by the popularity alone if you love Abigail. Popular names now aren't as popular as the popular names were when we were growing up.

I love the names Abigail and charlotte. And I think Wren makes a lovely middle name :)

lol my aunts name is Vivian and my dads name is Ian and I never noticed till now lol

my aunt always goes by Viv, virtually no one uses the full name

Does Eliza and Hadley sound good together as a sibset? I feel like they don't "match", but does it really matter?

I think they sound good together. They don't strike me as 'not matching' at all

I think I've been spending too much time on Nameberry lol. I never even thought about sibsets until now. I'm overthinking this probably.

I like Layne and Vivien the best, also think Lanie is cute or Alayna

Right now it's between Hadley and Evelyn for our girl choice.

Girl names:

Abigail (we both love it but its very popular, top 10 in our area)

Easy, classic, pretty name, no issues at all, I don't hear the name too often at all. I mean, it is not super uncommon, but it's not Olivia.

Wren (I love it, OH is warming up to it. But someone made a reference to Ren and Stimpy and that's almost ruined it for me)

100% no. For a girl? Wren? Please don't.

Vivien (Or spelled Vivian? We don't like Vivienne as it would change the pronunciation)

I don't think Vivian has any pronunciation except Vivian regardless of spelling. I still look the name. It's so cute!

Evelyn (We both like it but not in love)

This name, at least in the world for me, is way more common than Abigail. Evies are everywhere! I still like it.

Charlotte (Same as Evelyn)
Cute.

Hadley (Too trendy? Too harsh or masculine?)

I don't like it.

Edit: Also wanna add..

Layne (Or Lane, Laine? Also possibly too masculine?)

Not feminine at all. Worse than Wren, possibly.

Boy names:

Asher

This is on my list. A strong less-known biblical name. It is popular around me...not like Noah or Liam, but still getting more common. I like it.

or

Liam (We prefer Liam but it's a top 5 name and that makes us hesitant to use it)

Haha, I just said this above :) Liam is ok. Too common for me. I like Luca, Simon, or even Noah better

Sorry my name comments are in the quote itself...can u see them?

Yep. :)

I really like Simon but my OH says this reminds him of Simon Cowell. He would probably settle for Asher but he's not really into it at the moment. He's so set on Liam but I think it's too popular.

I adore wren, we're using it as a middle name this time, I wanted it as a first name but OH isn't keen plus we have a company round here named "wrens kitchens!"

From your choices my faves are Wren and Layne, both names we adore and both go lovely with Eliza which is also a beautiful name! X
