Hello I'm really freaking out at the moment. This morning I was spotting a little bit. It was dark dark red. I phoned my doctor and asked if I should come in or go to the hospital. I was told to come in at 4:30pm but I'm in a panic about whether I should ignore my doctor and go to hospital to get checked.

One of my friends said this early they wouldn't be able to do anything anyway.

It was only 3 or 4 drops of blood this morning and seems to have stopped. I get so worked up every time I have to go to the toilet. I'm scared to check after I've wiped myself.

*cries*

When the spotting is dark red (almost brown) it's usually old blood from your previous periods.

Don't worry, just go to your doctor at 4.30 hugs:

Hun, your still quite early on and anything can happen in the first 12 weeks.
But some people do have bleeding during pregnancy, so try not to worry.
Id wait untill your doctors appointment. Most hospitals dont take much notice of bleeding if its before 12 weeks.Xx

Thanks for both your replies :)

I'll just try and not go insane before 4:30pm.

Just makes me realise how much I already love this baby.

To me this sounded a little harsh and maybe insensitive... could be that I read it wrong, who knows.

I dont have much to say, just keep the faith babe, and remember alot of people bleed a little during pregnancy. Both of my sisters did and they have healthy children.
x good luck and i have my fingers crossed for you x

Excuse me?! I have never left an insensitive post and certainly am not going to start now.
I was meaning absolutley anything could happen in 12 weeks, she could bleed for most of it and be fine, she could have old blood and be fine.
I was most certainly not being insensative thankyou very much.
This is why there are so many arguements and 'disagreements' on here, when people pick at stupid little things!
Xx

forever.. i would just try and relax until you go to your doctors. I had spotting and then bled heavy twice in my early pregnancy and called and they wouldnt do anything had to wait 2 weeks to find out everythign was ok. But just relax and try not to do alot of activity until you see you doctor.

Just relax until you go to your doctor's. Easier said than done, I know. Lots of people I've spoken to have had spotting in the first trimester. My friend who miscarried had tissue coming out and it was like a period, she had to wear a pad, which is completely different than my friends who spotted - just a few drops here and there.

Hope everything goes alright for you, only a doctor can tell you what's up! :hugs:

Hey hun, hope ur appointment went ok...
I bled quite afew times in my first 12 weeks and they said some people just bleed through out and they are fine, just try and think positive! Fingers crossed!! xxx

babe, I don't do arguments, I've grown out of that to be honest. I obviously misunderstood your post, I thought you were emphasizing the fact that because she is 'still early on anything could happen'' but now I can see it can be meant in a positive way. When I see posts like this, I think back to when I was in first tri and having my own fears. Its easy when your out of the 'danger zone' to say things that can be taken the wrong way. Trust me, I have done it myself.

I know how it is to feel like hell when you think the worst, and i'm trying to help her realise that bleeding can be normal during pregnancy and not to think the worst. As I said both of my sisters have bled. I cant imagine how scary it must be, but keep positive.
massive sympathetiic hugs to you
:) xxxxxx

Thankyou. And apoligies if my 1st post was not clear.
It just really winds me up when other people feel like having their say when its completley pointless. There always seems to be some sort of argeument on here, especially the teen section.

To the original poster, I really wasnt meaning to worry you. Honestly, thats something I really wouldnt intend to do. Hope all went well at your doctors appointment
Xx

Hey sweetie, I hope everything went alright for you

I spotted twice in the first 12 weeks & I was so scared, I have a beautiful healthy baby boy now. As someone mentioned before, it could just be old blood from previous periods that is working it's way out.

Again I really do hope you are alright sweets. xx

Thanks so much for all your advice and thoughts on what was happening.

Just letting you all know my doctor checked me and said I should have nothing to worry about. I'm still feeling paranoid though that something bad is going to happen.

Thanks again.

Jorja

Glad everything is ok with bean x

(deleted posts to put thread back on topic - it was obviously a misunderstanding)

So glad that everything is alright with beany! I know it's easier said than done, but try to relax (says me who worried throughout the whole of my pregnancy) take things easy & rest alot. Sending lots & lotds of sticky vibes x
