Hello my lovelies! How are we all doing?

Finally got my new oven fitted on Thursday - lost count of the weeks we were without one!! It's beautiful!!! And we are hopefully getting our new bathroom fitted the first or second week in August, went and picked the tiles at the weekend. I'm sooooo excited!!

We need to start decorating our house. We moved in at the end of April and the old woman decor is still the same

Lol Lisa we are getting there very slowly with our house. Although it was more the choice of colours and the quality of the decorating skills that make my house look awful. The upstairs was the worst, especially the bedrooms and we've done all of those. The bathroom is very old fashioned, it has a peach suite and old fashioned tiles. I'm definitely goi g to take some before and after shots lol.

I've gone a bit mad on baking scones. Steves nan gave me her recipe for my favourite cheese scones and my first batch turned out a treat. So I've had a go at modifying the recipe to make sultana scones - they've just come out of the oven so I don't know how they taste yet lol.

Oooooohh can I beg you for the recipe? I looove fresh scones! Especially of the cheesy variety

I miss baking, I'll be going home to visit in about 3 weeks so I'll make a cake them lol

I can't wait to have a house to decorate, my birthday present from my mum is house things I think, it's going to make me want to move so much more. I'm hoping to be able to save up a deposit if I live really cheaply :haha:

The futon I'm sleeping on is trying to kill my back I'm sure, luckily my best friend is a holistic therapist and will be visiting next week so I can have a massage lol.

:hi: How is everyone?

I have been absent from BnB so much lately, apart from the odd post here and there.

I thought LO was getting chicken pox but now it's looking like some allergy or something. Her cousin has chicken pox so if she doesn't get it she must have a super strength immune system as we are all in the same house lol.
I've been trying to get as much work as possible lately to save up for a deposit and rent because a month as someone's guest is long enough

Hiiiii!

My bathroom is starting to look beautiful! Everything has been stripped out, the ceiling has been replastered, new bath is in and the tiler came today to do 3 walls and the floor. Got the sparky coming tomorrow then the plumber is back on Friday to finish off the suite :happydance:

Ooh bet it looks lovely now :)

Well LO has chicken pox now. Her bum is covered so changing her nappy is horrible and they are coming up everywhere so think she's going to be covered by tonight, going out to buy all chicken pox creams and lotions etc in a bit.

Aw bless her, wish we lived near each other cos I want Fran to get it out the way! What things can you buy for it now? When I had them it was just calamine lotion x

I got PoxClin mousse and a hayfever and allergy solution (hoping to not use this though). I read that calamine lotion is actually drying so makes it more itchy. She's completely covered in spots now with more coming and got a temperature. Her cousin was very lucky with them and didn't seem too bothered. Chicken pox seems to be everywhere atm so it's quite likely Fran will get it soon.

Free to a good home - a tantruming toddler who refuses to sleep. She's only just gone to sleep now after kicking up a huge fuss, for how long who knows..... I need sleep

Aw bless ya! Would you be offended if I refused because I've only just got my nightmare toddler to start sttn and I'm enjoying it?

How are you anyway hun - apart from the exhaustion?

I hope you managed to get a good nights sleep in the end :flower:

I feel so sorry for LO she is so ill with the chicken pox, she's got a high temperature that I can't get to come down lower than 38.3 and she's shaking when she wakes up. Her spots are everywhere, in her mouth, round her eyes, in her ears and she must have hundreds of spots on her body. I don't know what else I can do for her.

Oh & Anna, seen pics of Fran around the forum, she's so grown up and adorable! So so so pretty :cloud9: she's got your lovely friendly look about her too! xxx

Believe me you'd soon bring her back! We think she may have a milk intolerance and that's why she's crying of a night. We tried soya milk last night and she was sooooo much better!

I wanna show Daphne off but I'm on my phone and can't upload a picture
