Hi everyone

I just wanted a bit of advice about what the best three-wheeler pushchair in your opinion is?

As it is the most expensive thing I will be buying for my baby I want to make sure I get it right!

I am looking for a three-wheeler pushchair which is suitable from birth, can fit a baby car seat on it, comes with a pram attachment which can be facing you, it has to be lightweight and is very easy to maneuver as my partner has back problems and will struggle with a big bulky pushchair!

I know I may be asking too much but cost is not an option I just want something which suits my needs.

Any advice about what not to buy would also be appreciated!

Thanks

I got last years version which was called a Vigour but its pretty much the same thing. its fabby!

the quinny buzz 3 is nice i have it and at fist refused to get it when hubby pointed it out cus i thought it looked bulky n heavy but he pushed me to try it and i was surprised how lightweight it feels to push, and even i find it easy to put down n is not heavy cus it goes down in parts. i still wasnt convinced though as i hate 3 wheelers ,until i tried my 1 yr old in it and even he loved it he sat back and just relaxed(every other pram i tried him in he screamed) its quite comfy for a pram in end i got it with the dreami carrycot though not the car seat so the dreami does make mine a lil heavier with it on but it lught with the sat, and i must admit now i love it n cant wait to use it. ive bought a shopping basket which is still small but ok for me, i bought hooks for bags , footmuff and even an extra set of front wheels so i can change to a four wheeler when i want too hehe. it wasnt cheap but i love it . spec as lil miss will be able to face me! x

this is my opinion though others may thnk different as i think the buzz is either a love or hate lol . i dont know if it the best either as it the only 3 wheeler ive looked at and havent used it with my lo yet xxx

I have got the maxi cosi Mura. This comes in a 4 or 3 wheel version and fits all your criteria (apart from its light to push but not light to lift when folded!) Have you tried any 3 wheelers? I only ask because as mine comes in a 3 or 4 version, we tried both and went for the 4 as it just felt a lot more sturdy than the 3

This is the one I'll be getting after a lot of research. My friend uses it.

i'm not sure am actually picking and decided against the 3 wheelers i really wanted a 4 wheeler for some reason, which is a shame becasue it left less option as there are soo many more 3 wheelers out there than the 4!

My pick would definitely be one with 4 wheels - they are just so much more stable. I had a Mountain Buggy Urban (only because my Mum's cousin used to own them!) and I didn't really like it. When you are lifting the buggy up onto footpaths, or going 'off road' I found that the front wheel would wobble around a lot, and didn't feel very safe.

I don't know about the ones you have over there, but with Mountain Buggy people often find they get punctures too. OH worked in a bike shop, and they were constantly getting MB wheels to fix up.

Britax 4 wheel pram/pushchair incl. car seat

This is the buggy my friend has and she swears by it! I had a little push in town the other week and I love how light and easy it is to push around so will be getting one myself. It isn't 3 wheels but it is so narrow in front you wouldn't notice.
xx

second vote for the mura! i love ours! we have the 3 wheel version and it is v sturdy, but then never tried the 4 wheel one. but you would be very hard pushed to tip it! they have a fantastic price on it on kiddicare too.

depends on where you go but if you plan on taking pushchair anywhere other than nice flat pavements, i would def recommend something with air tyres they make it much easier to push and more comfy for baby

I don't yet have a baby but I have tried out lots of prams and I have always loved the Quinny Buzz, it is amazing light to push, easy to fold and turns like a dream. One thing I will say about the Buzz is that the back wheels do seem quite wide. I plan on buying a Stokke Xplory for my baby though as the height really appeals to me. I have also tried that and love it. Although it's a four wheeler I would suggest trying one out for size. Good luck with your pram shopping. I can't wait to actually buy mine which won't be for some months yet, fingers crossed that this pregnancy goes to plan. :)

i have one of the three wheel ones. Theyre excellent if you walk alot, because they turn corners brilliantly and are realllyy sturdy! But if you use public transport theyre quite heavy to lift :( thats the only downside though they are realy brilliant!! its just the way they turn, its so convenient!! xx

Try looking for Jane Slalom Pro -looks like an excellent 3 wheeler, built for the purpose it was designed for -all terrain. A lot of 3 wheelers are just cosmetically different from 4 wheels and dont serve any purpose.

Jane slalom is lightweight -8kg, alluminium frame, pneumatic wheels with rear suspension, dual braking system - has a brake on the handle to aid with going down steep hills, Range of carrycots and carseats can be attahced -one handed Jane connect system for ease. I am planning on buying the matrix carseat, is a bit expensive but it can lie flat for in-car use (great for longer journays when bubs is tiny) and for on chassis and looks like a carrycot in this position; or can be utilised as a normal 0+ car seat.
It comes in a range of colours too. Only thing is, it appears that everything is sold seperately -you can get jane slalom matrix travel system with free raincover as a set, but will need to buy the cosy toes, changing bag, and any other accesories such as carseat cocoon and car seat raincover seperately.

I haven't tried one out yet but have been only researching online and it seems really good ,may be worth checking out. Huge variance in the price though, depending where you purchase, so shop around for the best deals.

Hope this helps some.

We are going with this, and a friend has got the Vigour - we tried and loved the Quinny Buzz but my only issue with it was you had to take the seat out to put the pram down which I thought was a bit ridiculous, so we started the hunt all over again!

Hello!!! We had a look at the 'Spin' in Mothercare yesterday, Seemed quite good, simular to the quinny's. Also super funky!!!!

I had my eye on the quinny buzz at first but every person who I spoke to told me although they liked it they were sick of the punctures in the tyres so ended up selling it & buying something else. The house a couple of doors down from me have one of those stupid privet bushes all the way round the wall & it has large spikes in it. I knew i'd just end up getting punctures all the time. The other thing that put me off was that it was rather expensive & you have to buy all the accessories seperate.

I really want something that baby can lie flat in, car seats can only be used for 2 hours max & i have never liked the thought of them anyway. I've been looking at something with a carrycot that converts to a seat rather than buy a seperate carry cot as i only have a little peugeot 206, plus what do you do with the seperate carry cot after 6 months???

I did have my eye on this https://https://www.preciouslittleone.com/product-information/20/6867/obaby-zezu-pramette-travel-system---blackpink/

it does have the pneumatic wheels but i couldnt find anything similar to this at all. I went to my local stockest that sold it & they said they hadnt had it in for a while & wouldnt unless i wanted it ordering but had to pay.

I asked if they had anything similar & she pulled out this https://https://www.preciouslittleone.com/product-information/21/6555/petite-star-kurvi-4-stroller---moonstone/

They do it in a 3 wheeled version aswell. Its everything i was looking for, it dosent have the pneumatic wheels & its extreamly light, infact i cant belive how light it is.

i got the quinny buzz 3 too!! absolutely LOVE it!!! cant wait to start using it!! it has everything you asked for op!

I think we're going to go for the Britax Vigour 3+ or B-Smart (the new version) depending on when we buy it. Very reasonably priced, lighweight yet sturdy, great reviews etc etc. Easy to put down/up, fold quite small...all good! We didn't want to spend much more that this (around £250ish) as most of our friends who have children have told us that expensive travel systems aren't worth it as you will want a lightweight stroller by about a year or so anyway.

Hi everyone

Thanks for the advice and I have decided to buy the Jane Slalom Reverse which comes out end of Feb time. It has everything I want including a carrycot which can be fitted to a car as I don't want to use a car seat for the first couple of months.

Its a bit pricey but I plan on it lasting the few years as I have heard they are well built and sturdy.

The local baby shop calls this brand their bread and butter thay sell that many of them!

I just have to decide on the colour now!!!

:o)
