Anyone else battling with reoccuring thrush?

Never had it so much in pregnancy before until this one, also never had it so bad.

Any tips? x

I had it bad with my first pregnancy. Try to wear lose clothing on your bottom half where possible nothing too tight and comfy cotton underwear. Don't over clean down there too and avoid using perfumed soaps on your bits ;) feel for you though it's nasty. Has your doctor given you anything for it? I know natural live yoghurt can help if you haven't got anything and I'd think that's safe to use in pregnancy

Try to get products with Pro biotics in it like yogurt. I used to get them frequently. I ate greek yogurt in combination of probiotics that contain the "Lactobacillus probiotics". This helped me - u can get them from a health and nutrition stores- they are safe in pregnancy- It was a pill- all it is doing is balancing the natural bacteria in your system. A lot of times its what is going in on the inside rather than the outside. Reduce milk intake and sugars and starches too.

I eat loads of fage greek yoghurt.
Ive avoided others as it wasnt helping my sickness, i dont drink much milk or have much sugary stuff again it sets sickness off.

I do like potatoes though. Thank you x

Try the "L-probiotics" it has to contain at least - trust me ... in the mean time - also use panty liners and change them frequently.

"L. Acidophilus
Lactobacillus acidophilus is a species of probiotic bacteria. L. acidophilus creates toxic byproducts, such as hydrogen peroxide and lactic acid, when it comes into contact with food in your gut. These byproducts kill candida yeast. Eating yogurt with live, active cultures delivers L. acidophilus to your gut, which may improve your symptoms. L. acidophilus supplements are also available in tablet, capsule and liquid form."

Check the yogurt that you are eating and make sure that it has live culture in it. The greek yogurt i was eating i made sure it had that in it - some yogurts believe it or not - don't show that they contain active cultures. Plain yogurt also is an old trick.

I had a yeast infection so bad when i first found out i was pregnant - like i was on fire and swollen and uugh it was horrible - i couldnt even sit down. I was using AZO tablets to control the symptoms , and was trying to control it to stop. but nothing helped. Starches turn to sugar and sugar feeds it. I changed my diet for a bit but i also got those pills and I promise you it worked within the week. The article i read said that it has to contain at least 5 "L" strains - I cant remember which. I found some and it worked. Sometimes too- I just walk around with no underwear when Im home. ;) also Castile soap is natural and pure and you can use it to wash your body and your underwear. My sister uses it and swears by it.

Oh honey. I feel you. I never had it with my other 2 pregnancies and it has been almost constant with this one. I workout everyday, fairly intensely, and I am having to make sure I bathe or shower RIGHT after my sweat sessions or it gets even worse. Usually, I just want to eat right after ;)

Thanks for asking about this; and thanks to all the helpful hints from other ladies.

I have chronic yeast infections...so frustrating! Take a clove of garlic and put in on up there and sleep with it in. Also coconut oil everywhere else. I did this 2 nights in a row and it worked...I also take probiotics on a regular basis and don't eat a lot of sugar. Hope that helps...It is so painful!

I had this all through my second pregnancy and no matter what I did nothing helped to get rid of it. However as soon as I gave birth to my daughter it disappeared just like that! This was actually my first pregnancy symptom for that pregnancy as I've never had thrush in my life.... And never ever want to experience it again! What I found to kind of help is to not wear underwear whilst at home.
