Hello ladies,

I’m looking for some advice on dealing with thrush. I’ve been dealing with this since a week or 2 after conception. I’m now a few days short of 34 weeks. I seem to have built up quite the tolerance to the discomfort. My concern is now that the baby will catch it during labour. It’s been confirmed as thrush (twice) by the doctor. I’ve used canestan pessary but it does nothing. I’m taking high strength probiotics, avoiding scented products, tried natural yogurt and I generally wear loose fitting clothing.

If I’m honest, I know my diet could be better but I do love chocolate. Has anyone else dealt with such stubborn thrush that just won’t go? Any advice on what else I could try. I really don’t want the baby to catch this and it effect breastfeeding.

My midwife said wrights coletar soap when I got thrush twice, it's antibacterial and works really well. Good for the itching.
