Thrush

Any advice on thrush? My baby got this at 6 days which I treated successfully with nistatin (sp?) and a cream for me and her. For the last couple of weeks she's been fussy and had a slightly whiter than normal tongue but no other symptoms. I'm getting shooting pains in my breast after feeding. I've got more thrush treatment but doc didn't check her for it and I don't want to give it if it's not thrush. I've also had a swab done but haven't had the results.

What should I do in the mean time? Also, what happens if the test is negative? Could it be something else?
