Feels like it at the moment i just want to get to 16 weeks so i can see my midwife and hear babies heartbeat and its taking soooo long! i was 11+4 when i had my big bleed and ended up in hospital and have had no confirmation that baby is ok since then feel like im going out my mind here, plus there is the fact that when i had the bleed i thought i was 12+1 but put back so its taking even longer!

ugh I hear you Im not getting an 12 week scan so I dont have anything to look forward to until Im 14 weeks unless they try to hear baby at my 12 week appt but Im sure we wont be hearing baby since Im overweight :nope: but Ill get a scan at the specialist at 14 weeks and be going into 2nd tri so roll on 3 weeks!! it seems forever away!!!

give the midwife a call and see if you can come in earlier, i was there last week and voiced concerns that my scan will be at 10 weeks, so i'll have only 1 appointment between that and my 20 weeks and she told me to pop in about 13 weeks and she'll listen in for baby as extra reassurance to save me waiting so long.

it's not good to stress and they should be pretty accomodating for you.

good luck x

or u could go private? i know its money but if it gives you peace of mind? ive seen private scans from £60 - £120... just a thought xxx

I considered buying a doppler but i know some people cant pick up a heartbeat on them and if that happened id freak! so thought maybe im not the best person to have one, looked into a private scan too but nearest i could find was end april and by then i'll have seen midwife and be nearing my 20 week scan, because of where i live it was also a 60 mile trip each way. Just feel like im stuck in limbo at the moment, i did consider going to see midwife but im not due to see her until 16 weeks and id feel like i was wasting her time going early, just wish i had a fast forward button lol

If you need the reassurance the midwife will be happy to see you at any time, although theres not really much she would do only refer you for a scan if she felt you needed one, they dont listen on a doppler until at least 16 weeks :hugs: x

I did wonder if she would be able to get a heartbeat anyway at this stage, im sure with my first she got it at 14 weeks but im not even that yet

I use my doppler and listen to babys HB and always manage to find it straight away at this stage, you could ask her to try but understand that she MAY not find it this soon :hugs:x
