I am sure that one can of coke is fine! I have cut mine down too as I am now drinking diet and hate the stuff so would rather not drink any at all!!

Eek, be careful about Diet drinks...my OH has banned me from all diet drinks as they contain aspartame which is apparently linked to MC. I know that everything seems to be linked to something, but actually you're better off with the sugar in a full fat coke, than the chemicals in Diet. It's not great, sorry! But then if you hate it anyway...maybe this is good news!

I've read that you should drink less than 300mg of caffeine per day when TTC or pregnant. Also, doesn't diet coke still have the same level of ceffeine, just not the sugar? I've definately heard you shouldn't have artificial sweeteners in pregnancy too - so stay clear!!

Yep the caffeine is one to be aware of, 300mg is the limit and there is about 40mg in a can of coke, about 50mg in tea, 100mg in coffee etc...So you can have the coke (if you want it) but I was just advising to definitely steer clear of the diet drinks if you can. But you can get caffeine free stuff, or what I do is I have a caffeinated tea in the morning (much needed still) and then don't tend to have any other caffeinated drink unless I'm going out when I'll let myself have a full fat coke or something. It's not that bad...

I don't think it's totally De-caffeinated, I think it can have up to 10mg in, my box says it is less than 0.2% caffeine so not really enough to be a problem, unless you drank about 20/30 cups of it of course! Don't forget chocolate has caffeine in it too, but again you'd have to eat quite a few bars...not that it would be too difficult at the moment!

LOL - my partner joked that we can't have a baby cos we don't drink, smoke or take drugs (we have had 3 MC now).
 
I read the other day that whilst you should keep your body to a normal temp, ie no hot baths or spas etc, you should keep your kidneys warm to help implantation. Has anyone heard this before?

Think that comes from chinese medicine and their fertility ideas. Apparently, the kidneys are directly connected to fertility etc. You're supposed to cover your back and make sure it's always warm I think x
 
Well I've been using a hot water bottle in the evening as I get a sore lower back anyway, so I'm hoping that helps!
 
Oh, also the doctor told me last week to make sure your prenatal vits have iodine in them which helps your body absorb the folic acid (though that's not helping to keep the beans sticky, but it's just good practice!!) :)
 
I had a whole book about the chinese medicine theory...it's good to keep your womb and kidneys warm, if you've got a "cold" (chinese medicine diagnosis) disposition. If you've got a "hot" one then it's the opposite! Don't know how far I believe in it all, but some of it did make a lot of sense. Can't harm you to keep the old womb warm anyway :)
