To all preggo ladies, did anyone have lower back pain as a symptom?

Hi all you beautiful pregnant ladies...

I hope to become one soon ...

Well, after ovulation, I am having tenderness in my lower back..after sleeping on back I feel very relieved...but the pain comes and goes..Did anyone have lower back pain which sometimes radiates into the hips as an very early symptom of pregnancy and got a BFP????

im not sure if its an early sign of pregnancy but i know it can be a sign of ovarian cysts which are common in early pregnancy (tends to be pain on one side more than the other, can cause back ache and aches in upper leg)

i've experienced a bit of back ache which also eases after sleeping on my back, im 7w 4d so good luck and all the best on TTC...if you dont mind me asking how long have you been TTC? x

hi, i remember having AF type pain before my BFP, i cant recall lower back pain that early but i have had it pretty bad from week 4 xx

i haven't heard of it as an early pregnancy symptom but have heard of backpains starting around week 6 due to the body producing relaxin. My severe backaches started around week 10.

It can be an early pregnancy symptom. But as other girls have said, it can be signs of other things too (I sometimes got it before AF). I did however have a backache in my first few weeks of pregnancy. It wasn't like an "ache" so much as a strain. I felt like I pulled my back when I hadn't really done anything really strenuous.

I have had mild lower back pain for most of my pregnancy so far. I can't remember now if I felt it back at the start but I think it started when I was around 6 weeks.

I had lower back ache, although I have gotten it before when AF is due, annoyingly most pregnancy symptoms can also be AF symptoms, that's why it's so confusing!!!

I had lower backache hon and it was present from not long after ov I would say about mid cycle and still have....its my most persistant sympton!

@Welshmommytobe: I am trying since a few months..I had taken Clomid for 3 cycles,,had ovulated but didnt conceive....recently changed my obgyn, and am on clomid again first cycle with him..am taking Metformin too..you may be right about the cysts since I do have PCOS..
@All..thanks ladies..I never get AF type back pain this before my period..hence was wondering why the crampyness and the back pain....I can just hope now..hehhe...but chances might be less this cycle..since my Progesterone level is just 13.4..god knows if its good enough to conceive..

actually the back pain was my #1 symptom- i have had this in both of my pregnancies- really bad lower back ache. good luck babe!

Like what aragornlover8 earlier said..its like a pulled back without doing anything strenous..

Stellababy:..thanksss that gives me hope..I test in a weeks time..1WW is going on..
hopefully I get to know soon since atleast I will know what is causing the lower back aches..am too sleepy, also pee a lot...and dont think its UTI..very recently had a urine culture done and no traces of UTI..so dunno..thanks for your best wishes..

I also had severe lower back pain...way worse than when AF was on her way. I am use to standing on my feet for 8+ hours a day and I just couldn't do it. My back was killing me. BUt I did just find out today there is 2 little beans in there.
