Hi just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience as us, our little girl is 2 weeks old and the last 4-5 days at around 6 pm she starts screaming and can last hour or 2 before settling, mw said will just be wind try infocol etc wich we are and have been fo 3 days now, our lil one is a good feeder and can drink between 3-4oz a feed but realy guzzles and it sounds to me she can't get the milk out quick enough and sounds like she's swallowing air and groans as she gulps, any one had this? Was wondering if it would be worth changing flow of teat we are using new born tomme tippe teats at mo. Thanks

We're having exactly the same thing with Thomas. Infacol is an absolute god send. As much as you wind him there's still some trapped there. We've got the tommee tippee anti colic plus bottles and they have really helped, plus change color when the milk is too hot. Xx

I had this problem with TT too. Although I know some of it was just to do with his age, Every Bottle I made him you could hear the air all the time so I switched to avent and not had any problems. You could try them or I've hears dr brown bottles are also good for wind/colic

Xxx

Dr browns are ace! I left it far to long before changing bottles, wish I'd got dr browns at the start.

I used TT Anti Colic Plus bottles with my DD when she was a baby after she suffered awful colic and they worked wonders! Since having DS in June I bought the same bottles again and along with gripe water (from 1 month) he is never uncomfortable with wind or griping pains! Even prior to bring able to use gripe water the bottles alone worked amazingly! Would definitely recommend xxx

ETA: my DS is a greedy little guzzler too! He's on 7-8oz bottles at 2 months 1 week and has been since he was 5-6 weeks old, every 2 hours! He does sleep very well at night though :) x

I stopped using tommee tippee closer to nature for the same reason. My little one seemed to be taking in so much air with them. I am now trying dr browns and avent. Both seem to be an improvement but I think I am swaying towards the dr browns.

I used TT bottles, but Teagan got a lot of trapped wind and was sick sometimes with them due to not getting wind up. You could actually hear her taking in the air! I swapped to Dr Browns and they are amazing! Such a happier baby now :)

My lo had wind due to cmpi but we went from using the MAM bottles (which are lovely and fab) to Dr Browns and it did help as much as they could I think.

xx

i had the slow flow teats with tommee tippee bottles and changed to variflow and we've noticed a considerable difference! we also use gripe water as soon as she hit 1 month as infacol didn't seem to be working as well as we'd hoped.

i would recommend changing the teats to variflow :) we did when Francesca was 3 weeks old.

I did the same thing. LO would suck so hard the teat would go inside the bottle  but when we changed the teats to the variflow ones he was nolonger doing that. I also find burping LO after every 1.2 oz or so helps with the wind.

We have the same we tried medium flow but was too quick for her. We tried avent bottles but she wouldn't take them :/. I think the teat is a little longer. We also use infacol

Xx

Well oh got dr browns bottles while out today so will try them and will update progress for those with same prob

Thanks

We had the same problem...switched to dr.browns and never looked back!
