Anyone else had this problem?
I've brought 8 of these an having to take 6 back as the little clear plastic wheel at the bottom of the vent now has a slit in it on 5 of them and keeps popping off on another!
I've now given up with them and gone over to Dr Browns which used first time last night and my LO didn't cry in pain of colic for the first time in days!
Coincidence?? Possibly, but I'm guna stick with them as been reccomended by every mum I've spoken to about colic!
Anyone else had the same problem with the TT bottles??

i havnt used the tt bottles as went from avent to dr browns..very good choice hun..i will never use another bottle again the dr browns are fantastic..they seem to be even better now combined with c&g comfort milk
xx

I'm glad I finally got them should have done from the start! I also use comfort milk too but Aptimal and also infacol. Am just praying last night wasn't a fluke and that these sort the colic out!
I've so started feeding her upright and keeping her upright for good half hour post feeding then laying her down and cycling her legs!

i changed on tuesday with the formula and noticed a difference after 2 feeds and on the tub it says not untill 48 hrs after.so very plzd so far.I personaly didnt like the look of the avent bottles either as they have a funny of brownish tint to the bottle. My freind used the tt bottles but not untill 3 months after her daughter was born as she bf.
i think its terrible that babies bottles have faults with them..after all there one of the most important pieces of baby equipment.
good luck with the new bottles
xx

Hope things are ok with LO feeding now.

I have used tommee tippee bottles from the start and never had any problems. Are they special bottles you are using because ours dont have any clear plastic wheel at the vent. Ours has a vent near the teat which has a slit to get the air in/out.:flower:

Hi Ellie, thx LO is doing ok. So far so good! FX
yes the TT bottles we have are the anti colic plus they have a vent down the middle, they are meant to be more effective than the normal anti colic ones with the vent in the teat. We also have those ones and they are ok but haven't worked against colic.

The TT Anti Colic + bottles are basically TT's answer to Dr Brown's. The work in the exact same way. We started with Dr Brown's but moved to TT Anti Colic + because my LO was taking 9oz bottles. Dr Brown's bottles only go up to 8oz, and trying to put 9oz in was just making them leak everywhere.

I haven't had a problem with the one-way valves at the bottom of the vent  Maybe I'm just lucky?

I would actually use the TT ones over Dr Browns ones now, if I had another baby. I love that they have the valve which doesn't let the milk get sucked up the spout. A lot less leakage all round!
