Tommee Tippee CTN Bottles - Quality

Has anyone noticed that the CTN bottles have really gone downhill with regards to quality?? When Harry was born, we bought some and they were really nice clear plastic with clear teats and the bottles had measurement markings on in black writing. I bought some more bottles last week and they're dull plastic and the markings are just moulded plastic with no black writing so I really struggle to see where i'm filling the water too. The teats are dull too - not see-through. I actually thought i'd bought a dud box of bottles, but when I was at the shops the other day, I opened a box and they were the same.

They're now BPA free, it seems to make the plastic duller. I've got some breastflow bottles that have changed to BPA free and they're duller too, I also find them a bit harder to clean as the milk sticks to it a bit more

I've found the numbers were a right pain at first on the new ones! Takes a while to get used to it.

thats interesting, never knew about the bpa free looking duller, our bpa free are pink

yh i noticed this too, also feels 'flimsy' when i pour the water in them, so im scared to hold it incase its melting the plastic or something lol, but with the hard plastic ones im fine holding them.

I've also found that tonight when i warmed the water up the bottle went really soft and hot!!! even tho the water was just warm (ok for baby to drink but i couldn't hold it!!

yeh its cos theyre BPA free, its the BPA that makes the plastic clear, they annoy me too that u cant see the numbers properly, theyre my ''forgot to wash the good ones'' bottles haha

Lol how everyone seems to prefer the BPA ones rather than the BPA free ones!!

yeah i have the old ones and i like them. OH's sister just got the new ones and they do look quite flimsy and just not like CTN bottles. I'm stickin to my old ones.

I know!!! I have had to use a black pen to make a wee mark on the bottle so I can see where to fill it up otherwise i tend to pour water over myself trying to see the bloody transparent numbers!!!

Yeah agree that they look cheap thought, almost like a cheap knock off version of them!
