Tommee Tippee manual pump valve issue

So as LO is now six weeks I thought I would express some milk today for when I have to be out one evening in a couple of weeks time. DD1 is at nursery, DD2 all calm so I got out my tommee tippee manual pump I had for DD1.

I put the spare valve in (having chucked the first one years ago) and it has no split so the milk is just collecting around the top

Any ideas? Can I make the split or do I have to contact tommee tippee to get a new one? I had have thought of treating myself to a new electric one but I won't be expressing much, just for the odd occasion.

Don't worry ladies - baby brain moment. A closer inspection and a bit of squeezing and the hole in the valve has opened up.
