So Savannah is 5.5 months old now, I was trying to hold out till 6 months but she is showing signs of being ready for solids. It's exciting but sad at the same time, she's getting so big!

So anyways, she has been waking through the night again after months of sleeping through. Did anyone notice their bub doing this and sleeping through again after having solids? We're doing it at night just so we don't miss out on it, as it's an exciting time.

Well she loved the food! Mashed potato and breastmilk; gobbled down 2 full teaspoons full. :cloud9:

it maybe as now shes getting bigger and needing solids shes not getting a full belly to make her sleep thru if that makes sence lol.. so maybe once she starts eating more solids shel be ful enough to sleep again. glad she liked her mash xxx

I'm so hoping this will help her sleep through again. Could b heaps of reasons y though, i've recently gone back to work and am expressing and also she's got a touch of a cold.

thats great she loved it honey :) maddi's sleeping through never changed between weaning or non weaning so can't comment there, but sounds like shes ready :) and could be her cold too x

ah yer i guess going from boobie to bottle would be abit of a change for her too. and a cold wouldnt help...archies seems to have just had a perminent cold since he was born that sometimes gets worse or better. was going to say about elevating matress but i duno how it would realy work now shes older an can probably wriggle about a far bit xx

Carly- Maddy is gorgeous!!!

babezone- She can breathe fine, a bit snotty but alright. :) She is used to drinking from a bottle, but my supply has probably dropped a tad since she's not feeding.

aww glad she enjoyed it :D

they usually say that waking through the night is one of the signs , i haven,t started feeding jack yet either i want to get him as close to 6 months as i can . violet xx

Starting Lola on solids finally got her to sleep through the night :D

We are holding off until 6 months (I hope) to start London on solids... Glad she enjoyed hers though!! So exciting!! :hugs:

I know, I was trying to hold off for as long as I could but gave in coz all the signs were there. Was only 2 weeks away though so i'm happy with that.
Best part? SHE SLEPT THROUGH! lol. Solids fixed the problem. :wohoo:

woo! :D good news. Amelia was the same showing signs of wanting more and waking more and more frequently at night, i started weaning her at 4 & 1/2mnths, but i figured she was 2wks late so it ok.

I would give one piece of advice, if you introduce new foods to her try and do it at lunch time because if she has any sort of allergic reaction you and she will be awake to spot it.
