What foods can you eat after one?

Do they still take your adnoids out with this as well? I think that used to be the practice but not sure anymore? Just curious!

Anyone I know who ever had tonsils removed simply ate things like Popsicles, ice cream, jell-o(ish things), and smoothies the first couple days. Then graduated to soups and soft foods. This was years ago but I remember it just went by how the person felt!! Hope whoever it is having the surgery recovers quickly!

My son had his tonsils and adenoids removed together, he was asked before he went down for surgery what he would like to eat afterwards (they won't discharge you without eating), my son had Pizza!! He was ok, it's the healing afterwards which is the most painful, he said it throat stung when he ate/or drank. He sleeps like a baby now, so no regrets.

My sister had it done as a child and only had ice lollies and soup the first day then moved onto mash and soft food.
