Jack wakes up at 6.30 and has 4-6 oz
Back to sleep till 9.30 and then has banana porridge only around 3 spoonfuls and 4-6 oz of milk
Has an hour nap and then at 12.30 has around 4 spoonfuls of a jar and then hour nap and play.
At 3.30 he has another 4 spoonfuls of the jar and again a nap and then play.
At 6.30 he has about 5 spoonfuls of babyrice and then play till half 7 then bath and bed.

Advise and criticism welcome :)

Are you still giving him milk during the day? Besides the two morning bottles?
Colton was only on two meals a day at his age. Cereal in the morning and a fruit(or)veggie in the evening (between 3-4pm). Fed him his milk first, then about 1hour later he would have his food and I would let him eat as much as he wanted. I didn't limit his amount, but I dont force anymore on him than what he is happy to take.
Now he is on three meals. 1-2oz of cereal in the morning, 2-3oz of fruit in the noon, and about 2oz of veggies in the evening + a few bites of some dessert.

At 3 months dec was still on 7ozs every 3 hours, he got a few spoons of baby rice in the morning and a few spoons in the evening to keep him going through the night.
Does he only get the 2 bottles durning the day?? The only advice I have is its your baby and you know him best and if he likes what you are feeding him then fair enough but I think he does need more milk, at this age he should still be getting his usual feeds with just bits in between to fill him up, but he is your baby and you should do what you think best xx

As the others have asked - does he get bottles during the day? The bulk of nutrition should be coming from milk at this stage. And solids only introduced at 6 months unless necessary.

Does Jack feed at night?
My advice would be to feed every three hours to 4 hours during the day, milk only.
Bed time sounds good, but I would also give him a bottle between 10 and 11 pm until he is established on solids at about 8 or 9 months. You can give this to him without waking him.
Also, he is likely to hit a growth spurt soon - so up his milk intake during the day at this stage.

Hope that helps some.

Good point Munchkin Dec always got a sleeping feed at about 10.30-11pm until he was about 5-6 months, it was him that started to refuse it:hissy: I wanted to keep going with his little night feed and cuddle longer.
I love the way you answer question always so much information.:happydance:

Yep as the girls have all said, bubs will need more milk at this age. Is he maybe not wanting milk or are you just giving him spoonfeeds INSTEAD of milk. Also dont mean to be picky but the jars are specifically designed for babies over 4 months only. I certainly wouldnt give a baby jars at 3 months but rice or pureed veg would be better.

I'll tell you what my baby was taking milk-wise at 3 months 1100ml of milk per 24 hour period, I've just checked my little 'milk book'. 1100ml is about 33 oz's so your baby is somewhat short of that. I didnt start solids till close to 6 months.

If your baby doesnt seem to want the milk, as some babies dont then post again and we will try to help as best we can.

This parenting lark isnt easy :hugs:

Sorry yeah he gets fed at half 6, half 12, half 3 and half 9.
We cut it down to some baby porridge in the morning and some baby rice at night time :)
