Took Doxycycline at 5 weeks

Hi ladies, I'm brand new to this and scared out of my mind. I only found out yesterday that I am almost 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby. At week 4/5, I had a bacteria infection, or I thought I did, and I took some Doxycycline I had left over from a previous infection. I took 100 mg a day for about 5 days. The last one I took was 2 days ago. Now I'm reading online that it could cause birth defects and deformities. I just started a new job and my insurance doesn't kick in for three months, and there is no individual insurance where I live. So I'm pretty freaked out. I want to kick myself! Does anyone have any advice/experience with this? Thank you!

Try to relax. I know it's hard, and I don't have any experience of this antibiotic, but worrying wont help now - what'll be will be. I'm sure the chances of nothing bad happening are hugely slim xx
